Jariya was in a suit in tie, something his mother made him wear. His hair was done by /professionals/ mind you. His mother had insisited he greet every single geust that had walked in. Just great. He sighed and looked at the watch he had on his wrist. Today was going slow. That was all that he could say. His blue and white wings that were behind him hadn't moved in hours- he just wanted to flap them a bit as they were starting to get sore.Arwen was sitting sulky-faced near the punch bowl. She too was dressed gorgeously. She was wearing a red,off-shoulder ball gown and ruby earrings. Her hair was done up with hydrangeas attached to them. She hated being all 'dolled up' as she called it.Arwen got herself some punch and stared at all the impressed people around her.She felt kind of happy seeing her mother overjoyed at so many buyers.Jariya sighed after making small conversation with yet another one of his mother's friends. Or really- just a work partner. He himself wasn't here for the actuall bidding. That was what his mother was doing. His job was more of the social aspect of thing. He scanned the crowds, he had to admit, the whole thing /was/ impressive. His heart stopped when he saw Arwen. No. He knew that she was going to be here but seriously? Maybe he could avoid her and pretend that he didn't see her.Arwen was about to get up and climb up to her room when a very h@ndsome man(well,a high school student?) waved at her in a friendly way.Arwen smiled at him in a different way,not in a school-friend way.She flushed red and limited herself to a formal handshake. She was too red to try and look around and in a while, they were deep in conversation about, wait for it... plants!Jariya risked a glance back at Arwen. Gosh dang it- why did he even care so much? He sighed and leaned against the tall pillars of the building and pretended to admire a ruby crystal necklace. It wasn't his style but the craftsmanship was at least good. He sighed and fixed his tie quickly. The thing was- he did recognise that school boy. Not that he ever talked to him. All the girls would swoon over him. It was embarrassing.Arwen smiled at him."Wow,Noah, you /never/ cease to shock me.You? At an /auction/? I thought your parents went abroad?".Noah replied ,"My grandmother stayed back so,here I am." Arwen nodded. Why did she feel this way about Noah? She didn't like him or anything. There was another in her mind. One who would never be hers.Jeriya heard a little buz in his pocket. Oh great- that was his mother asking for him to get over to where ever she was. Which happened to be near the other side of the display room. He'd have to walk right past Arwen. He sucked in a breath, well, at least she wasn't all that bad. He had met much more... obessive girls and /those/ were the worst in his opinion. As much as he l0v3d attention, he had limits. He walked right past Noah and Arwen, he couldn't help to slow down when he got close.Ew. Was he /admiring/ her now? Ugh- seriously- what was wrong with him?Arwen looked away, now she was feeling uncomfortable."Noah,I'm leaving,/let/ go.." She shot out of his grasp and left the auction. She felt so weird.Arwen and Noah were supposedly a very 'reputed' c0upl3 in school but away from the other girls, she just saw Noah as a friend. Her diary in her hands, she went to her garden and sat down on the freshly watered grass.Jariya couldn't help to hear the commotion that Arwen was making. He could see a potential sitcom when he saw one. Alright- well, Jariya was training to become a writer so that probably helped him a little when it came to identifying conflicts. After all, who didn't love to torture their characters? He glanced back at his mother, well, his mother could wait. Even though he didn't like her all that much yet, he had... conflicting feelings on her, he started to head to the garden, letting his curiosity take the better of him.Arwen looked startled at the sound of steps."Noah if you- wait..Jariya?" she stood up."W-what are you doing her I thought you wouldn't-" Arwen was speechless. She sat down again. She opened her mouth but no sound came out.She walked farther away from her bustling mansion. At the edge of the woods, perhaps she would be alone..Jariya's pale blue eyes were focused on Arwen. "That I wouldn't do what?" he sighed. He surprisingly wasn't one to get into drama. After he made it clear to his mother that his heart was set on becoming a producer in writing, she had made him take a lot of plot development classes and he decided that drama wasn't really worth it for him. On the other hand, it was /exhilarating/ so the temptation would always be there."Leave me alone,Jariya.I need to run-/AH/!" Arwen was saying when suddenly she pricked her finger with a rose thorn."Okay,okay-Don't panic -Just-pull-it-out! Ouch,nevermind.." Arwen tugged at the thorn, making her finger bl33d even more. She decided to let her pain and emotions get the better of her and tears streamed down her sun-k1ssed cheeks.
Jariya saw the b100d on her hands and his eyes widened a bit. "Woah- chill out," he felt like she was moving way too fast. He sighed and grabbed a handkerchief. She was technically the host so therefore, he did feel obliged to help her out. He handed it to her and sighed. "Go slow and gentle. Tugging is only going to make it worse..." Jariya had never really been the type to touch random flowers and therefore, he had never gotten poked by a thorn before."Thanks.It's really nice of you.." Arwen gently plucked the thorn out of her finger."It's been /really/ emotionally overwhelming lately, with Noah, and your mother and all that." . She wiped her cheeks. She could really use a hug.None of her sisters knew she was out here. She looked at the handkerchief."I'm sorry..It's all bl00dy and all-"eriya raised an eyebrow. "Girl, I'm rich, I can afford thousands of handkerchief if I so wanted," he sighed, he wouldn't take it back- it had her b100d on it. She could keep it. He looked back at the exit and spotted Noah out in the distance. "Well- my mom is a pain in the behind. /I know/. I've known her forever"he didn't know what the deal with Noah was. Honestly- he thought that they were d8ing as well. "Did your bf said something mean to you?" "Oh believe me,he is the one who's all crazy about me,I see him as a friend. He went all pysch0 on me,gripping my wrist and all. He's not like this at all." Arwen looked worried.Noah scared her.Her wrist /was/ a bit red, honestly.Jariya sent another glance at Noah, well, that was surprising. He looked back at the expensive auctioning items before turning back at Arwen. "You could just kick him out," he shrugged. Jariya didn't see the issue with that. It was easy and simple. At least that's what his mom normally did. If she didn't like someone- it was out the door for them.Arwen replied,"It's just odd how he's been behaving lately,he's normally so sweet to me-",Arwen paused. Her sharp senses heard a rustling over head."Jariya, look out!" she pulled him away./Clang!/ a metal box fell right where Arwen was supposed to be,if she hadn't moved."Close call."Jariya's eyes went wide when the metal box hit where they were just standing and flew right past him. His heart beat was up high and he had accidently grabbed Arwen's hand in the jumpscare he had gotten. When he realized he did- he quickly let go and looked away- kind of annoyed at himself. "Er- so you have a crazy bf /and/ an ass@ss!n after you?" he didn't mean to make a joke out of this but that was sort of how it came out as."You are actually right..People /are/ trying to k1ll me." Arwen replied "You see,I am actually the heiress of this enormous wealth so /this/ is normal, along with food poisoning and whatnot." She straightened up."Let's go back to the party now.Everyone will be worried." She walked a few inches away from Jariya. She took this assas1nat1on thing really lightly. After all,she was almost starved to d3@th when she was a child.
