Dragonfly peeked nervously out from behind the fabric acting as a door to her cave. She wasn't used to being in a place with so many dragons. The Pyrops Festival was the one time of the year that she interacted with more than one dragon at a time, and even that was nerve-wracking. Octavia had assured her that no one would be hostile, but that wasn't really the problem. When you've only talked regularly to one dragon for the majority of your life, your social skills weren't that developed. Add that with the hundred or so new dragons that she'd never meet, and her anxiety was through the roof. During the Pyrops Festival, no one talked to her, except when she bought stuff. From what she'd seen of Silkwings, they were all overly friendly, even to strangers. "Yeah, nope. Not gonna do it." She whispered under her breath. She withdrew into her room, the cloth settling back into place. She wished Octavia would let her leave. Dragonfly lived so far out from anyone else that she would never be able to spill about Migration to the Hivewings. "Guess I'll just sit in this cave for the rest of eternity." She said aloud, a habit from she could go weeks without hearing another person's voice. "Not if I have anything to do with it!" A voice said, bright and cheery. Lifting up the fabric door with one claw was a small lavender dragon with four leaf-shaped wings and a pair of antenna curled up tightly above her eyes. "I'm Kudzu! Nice to meet you." She said, sticking a talon into Dragonfly's face. "My name is Dragonfly." She said, shaking Kudzu's talon wearily. "Um, nice to meet you too, I guess." Kudzu turned around and held up the cloth door, ushering Dragonfly out. "You guess? You're not sure? That will change soon. Come on, I want to meet the other one!" Reluctantly, Dragonfly shuffled through the doorway, Kudzu close behind. "The other one?" Dragonfly said, confused. "Yeah! Didn't you come with the other dragon? I heard she's a Hivewing, like you!" Kudzu rambled before stopping, eyeing Dragonfly's wingbuds. "Well, sorta. Follow me!" She said, bounding ahead. "I've only been here for like, three and half weeks, but I know this place like the back of my talon." She bragged. Dragonfly nodded, her mind already drifting. She had practically forgotten about the other dragon in the cell with her. Was she okay? Dragonfly hadn't seen her since they arrived at Migration's hideout. "... and here we are!" Kudzu exclaimed. Has she been talking this whole time? Dragonfly thought. Whoops. Her voice was really easy to tune out. From inside the room, Dragonfly could hear sniffles, like someone was trying not to cry. "Hey, maybe we shouldn't -" She started, but Kudzu was already pulling aside the fabric curtain. A panicked yelp sounded as Kudzu barged into the room. Dragonfly sighed at walked in after her. The dark red dragon from the cell was trying to wipe away tears as fast as she while Kudzu peppered her with questions, seemingly oblivious to the fact that the red dragon was crying. She lifted her arm from her face to get a better look at Kudzu, when her eyes meet Dragonfly's. "It's you!"
