Hi! I was just browsing scratch when I spotted this and was bored as heck so I joined it! I did have to trace the lines of the original because it wouldn’t convert to Ibis Paint as the original but I didn’t change any of the lines themselves. Also, my account is for posting scripts and such for my voice actors so I’ll be deleting this project once the competition is over. I’m also still bored so I’m going to write you a backstory. You don’t have to read it lol. ♪ At nighttime, the lights were bright enough to fool one into thinking it was day. The city was loud, shiny, new… The city was home. A gray cat weaves through an alleyway, her tail swaying behind her gracefully. Cats called her Lightning because of her quick, silent steps and eyes cold and blue enough that sapphires envied her. Lightning’s shadow, her second half, her sister, was called Thunder. “You’re doing your staring-into-the-abyss thing again, Light.” Thunder purrs, flicking Lightning with her tail and bringing her out of her trance. “I was not.” Lightning lies, scowling at her. “Yeah, sure.” Thunder rolls her eyes, giggling. “Where are you headed, anyway?” “Inferno said there was some good prey up by the Empire State Building.” Lightning says, leaping onto the top of a dumpster on silent paws. Thunder follows with a slam. “Prey’s fine back home, and we don’t have to walk a mile for it.” Thunder complains, dragging her feet and then following Lightning as she crouched and sprang onto someone’s balcony, scanning the alleyway below with her sharp eyes. “You look like a pouty vulture.” Thunder observes, earning herself an icy glare from Lightning. “Just because you’re too lazy to want to explore new places doesn’t mean I’m going to do the same.” Lightning snaps. “Besides, you can go home if you like.” “I’ve come this far.” Thunder says. Lightning scoffs, diving down off of the balcony and then sprinting to the end of the alleyway, looking out into the busy street full of honking cars and blaring lights. Her fur flutters in the harsh wind from the speeding vehicles. Thunder crouches to avoid being knocked off of her paws but Lightning stands tall, raising her tail. She hesitates a moment before slowly pulling back her hind legs and then leaping off with a jolt of speed, sending herself across the three lane street in a matter of a few strides. Thunder follows after, tripping over her paws and nearly being ran over, having to stop to cower under a huge Ford. Thunder reaches the other side gasping for breath, her green eyes wide and her fur standing up straight. “What a fine performance.” Lightning says sarcastically with a smile. Thunder bats at her with a paw. Lightning laughs, her tail held high as she darts down another alleyway. Thunder, wanting to prove her skill, races after her and pulls ahead, scaling a small building when the alleyway came to an end. Lightning follows her, quickly losing her breath as Thunder’s superior muscle strength began to show its contrast to Lightning’s lithe speed. “Show off!” Lightning yowls breathlessly after her sister who is two flights up an apartment building. “Skill issue!” Thunder calls, laughing and continuing up the building. “That brat.” Lightning hisses, slipping through an open window and sprinting up the stairs to the roof, using her own cleverness and agility to her advantage. By the time Thunder had leapt from balcony to balcony to the roof, Lightning was already there. “Cheater!” Thunder says, pulling herself onto the roof and shaking out her pelt. Lightning laughs and Thunder shoves her, a hint of hostility in her eyes, masked by playful spirit. Lightning’s eyes widen a bit in fear as she feels her hind paw trip over the edge of the roof, the railing too high to stop her feline body from falling off the side. Falling. Above her, green eyes glowing against the star speckled sky, was her sister. Her sister. Her murderer. And she just watched as I fell. ♪
