Time flies fast. By the time he fastened a small star-shaped brooch on the side of his leather collar and looked in the mirror for the last time, it was nearly his turn. He nodded to his stylist and climbed on his chariot. His chariot was a huge scene board, with LED lights embedded on the edge of every corner. No lights shined now, however, and it was dark around him. Just a moonlight illuminated the outlines of him and his chariot. Elijah had only a collar on his neck, on which a star-shaped brooch was fastened. (uh they are cats so I assume it’s natural to not have clothes on them?) As his chariot barreled through, he could almost hear the capitol's confused murmurs. He knew what they were thinking. This was the parade, one of his only chances to attract the audience, and he came unprepared. Or so it seemed to them. It was just enough to get the capitol's attention. He didn't care if it was positive or negative. Almost all eyes were on him, wondering curiously why he hadn't been dressed up. Perfect. Now he only had to surprise them, before he lost his audience's interest. Three... Two... One. Elijah grinned and pushed a button on the chariot. The LED lights came to life, shining bright and changing color every second like a disco ball. His chariot was a walking Hollywood itself. Now for his clothes. His stylist had prepared a hologram for him. The brooch. He fidgeted with it for a second and suddenly he was surrounded by a bright light. The light danced around him, sometimes spotlighting him and sometimes making a blazing cape. It shone brighter than his chariot, setting the night sky alight. He was a star. Elijah's heart was beating fast. Not in fear of course, but in excitement. This was it. This was the chance to shine in front of the capitol. He smiled, his signature charming smile, and looked out towards the capitol. "Thank you for having me today. I will certainly do my best to keep things interesting. May the odds be ever in your favor!" Racing through the onlookers, he felt proud. It was always what he wanted. To be cheered on, even if it was from the capitol. To his surprise, the chariot kept on racing. There was a curtain, and cats, no, holographic cats were waiting on the other side. This was unexpected. But he liked to show off, didn't he? When he came out on the other side of the curtain, he waved and backflipped. As he jumped, his brooch came alive and the bright light enveloped him, so he looked like a star blazing across the sky as he landed on the top of his chariot. Balancing carefully on the scene board, he held his head high. He had succeeded. 'I will shine like a star, I can promise you that.'
