Shoot. I forgot about this. I needed to act quickly to come up with a name. “Bri…elle!” I responded awkwardly, “Brielle… Sterling!” “Well nice to meet you, Brielle Sterling,” he says. We both laugh, then walk together around the marketplace for a while. “Oh crap,” I whispered to myself when I realized the time. One fifteen. “I need to return home!” It was true, my parents would probably be worried if I don’t show up by six. Even though it wasn’t close to six, I needed to at least get a few hours of sleep in to make it seem like I was there all night. “Well, goodbye Brielle. See you next week?” Caspian says. “Hopefully! We can meet near the entrance,” I respond, slowly walking backwards towards the large hill leading to the castle. “Goodbye Caspian!” I say quickly before running off into the distance. I then began to quickly walk back towards the castle in hope no one found out I left. When I arrived back at the castle gates, I climbed over once again just like how I did when exiting. I then quickly walk over to my bedroom window, and open it since I had left it unlocked when I left. When I got inside, I saw Ben leaning against my door. “Welcome back Brina,” he says as if he knows something, which he probably does. Ben’s pretty smart. Maybe almost to the point where it was stalker-like. I was shocked to see that he actually went into my room to see if I was there. What does he want this time? “Hello Ben,” I responded to him, copying the same tone. “What do you want from me?” “I just want to know why you weren’t in your room, or even the castle last night,” Ben questions, now walking into my room and sitting on the blue velvet ottoman in front of my bed which I was sitting on. “I was here?” I answer. Ben has always been quite the detective ever since we were kids. “C’mon sis, we all know that’s a lie,” he says back, trying to convince me to tell him where I actually was. “Fine. Promise you won’t tell anyone?” I ask him. Ben’s pretty trustworthy, so there was no point in asking this as I already know the answer. “Yeah, sure,” he replies, getting up to carefully shut my bedroom door. After the door was shut, Ben went back to sit on the ottoman. “I went down to the village marketplace,” I admit, hoping for a more positive response from my brother. “Really? How’d you get past the guards at the gates?” Ben ask. Surely he isn’t that stupid, but he’s my brother. He’s got it in his genes. “I climbed over the wall dumie,” I tell him. “Whatever. I’m bored. See ya’ later,” Ben says, breaking the incredibly loud silence. After Ben leaves my room, I lay down in my bed to get some sleep. Glancing over at my alarm clock, I see that it’s two nineteen. I really need some sleep. I then yawn, and then fall into a deep sleep.
