Ocean acidification is a problem to the ocean. When CO2 (carbon dioxide) gets into the water it forms H+. Carbonate Ions are what crabs, snails, and other creatures with shells (not sea turtles) use to create their shells. H+ snatched carbonate ions away from the animals. This way their shell disentigrated and they die because they use to much of their energy trying to get carbonate ions, or they die because they are easy prey to predators. Here's an expirement you can do at home, after doing the same one as a game! Enjoy!
PS please note to click the chalk and pH strips for the water before the vinegar one. For further info: http://www.pmel.noaa.gov/co2/story/Ocean+Acidification https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wo-bHt1bOsw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cqCvcX7buo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbMomQgl3Fk
