Jordan ran her paws through the intricate ruffles of her well tailored vest. It was a mix of blues some light or dark but all of them rich and vibrant.Layered gauzy fabric gave the illusion of waves and ripples. Flowing off the vest were silky ribbons adding to the water like quality. Her simple silver eye liner and small earrings shimmered in the light of the dressing room. All four of her paws were adorned with silver cuffs. The out fit was marvelous. She felt a mixture of excitement and sadness as she was led to the chariot which mimicked the look of scaffolding and pulleys you might seen in the district twelve mines. It was fun to dress up and go before the Capital but it made her sick. The hunger games was dressing up with them. Pretending to be something it wasn’t. Jordan was partaking in the Capital’s lie. Now on the chariot she felt movement. Jordan was ready. Someone activated the unique mechanism hidden in the silver band. Projectors. She had no idea how it worked but suddenly her tattoos were alive. The octopus curled and stretched its tentacles, fish swarmed, ferns swayed in an invisible breeze, even her water like vest was enhanced. It looked real, at least from where the Capital saw it. Up close you could see the true image, but the viewers were still amazed and let out a gasp at Jordan’s outfit. Her face stayed strong and confident, not happy, not sad. It was an honest face. Not a faked one. Her face said ‘I am not afraid’ and meant it. “Thank you Capital, for having me.” She stepped towards the front. “I know that you are all here for a parade. A spectacle. You will get one, but I’d like to remind you that that we are not here for a festival. We are /here/ for the /games/!” At the word games the chariot lit up in bright flames that framed her calm face. She’d prepared for this. “I can promise you that I won’t forget the real reason we are her!” She shouted. The vest shimmered as she took off running towards the pulleys, dodging fire. It wasn’t a huge area of course and in reality the fire was very controlled, but the effect was not lost. The crowd clapped and roared in excitement. Her eyebrows tightened in concentration as she approached a pulley. It was attached to the highest part of the structure. Slipping her paw into a loop and unlatching it from the floor she shot up through the metal beams and out of the fire. Jordan heard a thud as the weighted bag that had previously been at the top his the floor. She swung around on the rope, flinging though the air, just focusing on holding on. Eventually it calmed down and she was able to safely move off. Now she was at the top, hanging on with one paw free. She looked serious and powerful, her tattoos shifting and the fabric of the vest flowing through the air. Jordan waved, taking in a deep breath so her next words would be loud. “I won’t forget the games,” she yelled, “and in return I ask that you don’t forget me!”
Hopefully the whole pulleys thing wasn’t too confusing. it was sorta inspired by how Jack sparrow swings around in the top the ships in the first movie, but different actions and setting
