“You’re LATE!” Was the first thing Emily heard in her transfiguration class, “I know, i’m sorry!” Magonnagall stared at Emily sternly, “then sit down!” “Yes, professor,” Emily looked at the floor as she walked to her desk, “as you know, class, Valentines day is coming up, so professor dumbledore wants to have a Valentines day ball, you are each invited, formal dress, there will be more information as the date comes closer.” She informed the class, Mary Redstone raised her hand, “professor? Do we take dates?” “Yes, Mss. Redstone, dates are allowed, in fact they are advised!” Mary nodded and smiled at her brother, Jake, Emilys heard thudded as she noticed him, he looked over, noticed her staring, and waved cheerfully, she started, and looked away, her cheeks flooded with color, and magonnagall droned through the rest of the class, no one was paying attention though, they were ether bored out of their minds, or quietly whispering to their friends, “class dismissed,” magonnagall said, the class rose quickly and poured out the door, still whispering, but now they were louder, “a ball!?” “Yay,” “don’t look now but i think thats Dean!” An excited girl informed her friend, “Emily!” A voice called, Emily looked over, it was Skylar, “Hi Skylar!” “Hey sorry for leaving so fast the other day! I’ve just got this friend, and she was waiting for me!” “Oh! Don’t worry abo-ow!” She turned around, “I’m SOOO sorry! I wasn’t looking where I was going!” There stood Jake “oh, don’t worry about it,” Skylar told Jake, as Emily just silently stood there, “she’s fine, I hope…” Skylar tapped Emily lightly on the shoulder, “Emily, you okay?” Then Emily fainted, Skylar caught her, then looked at her, then something hit her, a small smile formed on the corner of her lips, as she looked slowly from Emily to Jake, “is she okay?!” Jake helped Skylar carry her to a soft couch, “I think so,” Skylar said, still pleased from her discovery, “she’ll wake up, sooner or later… hey, y’know what would make her happy?” “What?” Jake asked, looking at Skylar, confused, “nevermind!” Skylar smiled, he’d figure it out on his own, eventually… “uuh okaaayy then…” Jake made sure Emily was totally fine, then went to catch up with his sister, Skylar smiled and waved, “Emily, wake up! Flying class is going to happen soon!” “Oguamenti!” A small stream of cold water hit Emilys face Emily gasped, and sat up, she used her hands to block the small stream, “hey! I’m awake now!” “I know!!” Skylar giggled, and she made the stream slightly bigger, and Emily giggled as well, “GIRLS!” magonnagall glared at them as Emily had started splashing Skylar with her own ‘oquamenti’ spell, the girls stopped their spells quickly, and put on an innocent face, magonnagall glared at them, and they rolled over in laughter, “5 points from Hufflepuff and 5 from slytherin,” that stopped their laughter, “sorry professor!” They said together, then the bell rang, “whoops! Got to go to, bye!” Skylar waved and went to catch up to her friend, Emily waved, then she glanced at her schedule, if she wasn’t at her flying lesson in 5 minutes, she’d be late for ANOTHER thing, Emily waved to profesor magonnagall, “bye profesor!” She grabbed her bag, drops of water dripping down, she glanced at profesor magonnagall, who waved her wand in a complicated sort of way, and it was dry, “thanks professor!” She waved, grabbed her bag and raced off the the grounds, and got there just in the nick of time, Skylar waved, there was a pretty girl with blond hair standing next to Skylar, who smiled at Emily, then Mary and Jake Redstone showed up, looking frantic, “oh, Emily! I’m glad that you’re all right!” Jake smiled at her, Mary walked up, “sorry, we never got fully introduced, i’m Mary, and this is my twin, Jake! Our parents abandoned us when we were really young, so we don’t know who they are, we grew up in a orphanage, but it was for magic people, so we knew about hogwarts, sorry, i’m talking to much aren’t I? I’ve got a nasty knack for doing that! Sorry, i’ll stop now!” She grew quiet, but still smiled, then she planted herself right next to Emily, and to Emilys surprise, Jake stood next to his sister, so they were only one person apart, Emily set down her bag, and looked down at her broom, “Is everyone standing next to a broom? Good, now stick out your right arm, so your hand is right above the broom and say ‘up’” Madam Hooch said, then nodded at those who did it, Emily held out her hand, “UP!” The broom went flying from to her hand, and she caught it, then she looked at the other students, Harry Potter had his too, so did Jake, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasly still didn’t have theirs, “Up! Up like you MEAN it!” Madam Hooch remind the class, a few others had theirs in their hand too, on the first try, then SMACK! Ron’s had flew up and smacked him in the face, Harry was laughing, ron glared at him, “alright! Now mount your brooms and on my whistle, kick off, hover for a few seconds, and come back down!-
