The picture quality got ruined when I uploaded it to Scratch from my phone, so apologies. I'm about 75% sure she's a black imported fire ant because I simply have no clue why she'd be a labour day ant.
Ant keeping tips welcome! If it gives you any clue for her species, I caught her on January 23rd, 2024, in central Florida. I haven't confirmed if she has a stinger because that would be proof she isn't a lasius queen.
