The sun slowly submerged under the skyline, sinking deeper as it’s light reached through the branches of trees, as if trying to hold on to them, before they finally are dragged down and under, where the moon defeats the sun. The stars, to some, are like little fragments, little particles, of that big sun. They shine and glimmer through the night, almost like a memorial, reminding the night of the coming of dawn, when the sun will rise and avenge it’s past defeat. As the sun settles in it’s place beyond the horizon, the moon climbs, higher and higher, a softer glow in the dark slate of the midnight sky. It mourns as it shines, for why should people shun the moon, and wait instead, for it’s sister’s sunny day? But now at last, all will know the wonders, of her dark and jeweled sky, as all the world is wrapped in an eternal lullaby. So say goodnight, little bats and owls, her only loyal subjects, who do not sleep during her reign, but sleep during her sister’s. The moon is soft, it is kind. But it’s also dark and cruel, bitterly turning away, crying it’s tears which splatter into the night sky. Because really, the stars aren’t fragments of the sun. No, the sun’s time is long gone now. When you look up at the stars, look at the moon, jealous of her twin’s praise. Look at the stars, and remember this story, of when the moon cried out all of it’s glow, leaving shining diamonds in the sky, and leaving herself dimmer, a somber and sadder version of the sun, which she’ll never outshine. In the night the moon is alone, along with her tears, looking and dreading the coming dawn. For when it comes, the sun will grab her and drag her down, as the people down below praise in victory. But no one cheers when the night comes. The moon celebrates alone, sobbing each night, creating billions upon billions of stars every sunset.
hey hey! new daily for you <3 it's about how the moon is jealous of the sun because people shun the night and sleep, instead of playing / working like they do in the night. alsoo for all my "my little pony" fans (it was my childhood show) ya get the reference? luna and celestia vibe. "It mourns as it shines, for why should people shun the moon, and wait instead, for it’s sister’s sunny day?" is a line inspired by "the moon rises" (mlp song lol) check it out <:
