That's because, it turns out, that the Vivillon in Kansas are of the modern pattern, and I live in Salina, Kansas, so I'm stuck with my Vivillon looking like this. Also, my Altaria can mega evolve, and I have a Flamigo because it's a Pokemon version of my favorite bird, the flamingo.
