PART 1 - AFTERMATH When a cat would burst into the caves of WindClan as other felines were getting ready to go to sleep, screaming, shouting in pain as blood dripped down their bruised fur, it was no over-exaggeration to say that quite a full-on panic was caused. Thankfully, they were rushed straight to the medicine den instead of being crowded around in camp. Although, that didn’t stop others from following inside. But Dizzy-lilycherish was intent to ignore all other commotion as they thought about what had just occurred. In the pouring rain and thunder, the wind catching onto their matted pelt and inside of their wounds, they slipped and slid on the mud in an attempt to escape. Escape from darkness, an impending doom that cackled and laughed as he stood over them. Ditz was lucky that they got out alive. Though, one wasn’t thinking back to their traumatising meeting, instead they were thinking about the reason that they had gone there in the first place. Correct, Sicariushug was alive. And was now staying with the very cat whom had almost killed the stormy grey pelted feline. Oh, that was just pure irony, wasn’t it? Dizzy-lily had really thought that just for a moment, the scarred brown-furred cat had really cared. That he had really had some affection in his broken, twisted heart. They pondered this thought as the medicine cat wrapped their bleeding wounds in cobweb and bandage, and as other cats fretted over questions that they would not reply too, their mind simply focused on staring blankly into the space that was their own thoughts. PART 2 - SOLIDARITY By now, the panic had gone down, and other cats had gone to sleep. Dizzy-lilycherish was required to stay in the medicine den due to how fatal their injuries were, and honestly, they were quite grateful. Staying in that cramped den, squeezed inside with other cats didn’t sound enjoyable whatsoever. And now they could be alone, with their mind. They could attempt to make sense of things, to piece everything together so they could stop themselves from being confused, their mind jumbled in a cobweb of sadness and pain. Because why did Sicariushug leave? Why did Chaconne try to kill them? Why was Ditz even here, thinking about all these endless questions? They sighed as they rested their head on their bandaged paws, dull eyes tearing up and ears pinned to the back of their head. They wished that they had someone with them. Someone like a father. So they wouldn’t have to be alone, in solidarity. Oh, if only Sicariushug had a simple sense of empathy. What a wicked cat he was. Or maybe they didn’t have to think about what had happened. Or maybe they were overthinking. Or maybe they should stop wishing that they had never been born at all. Because what was the point, anyways? No use dwelling on the past, right? …Right? Or was that just what Dizzy-lilycherish had been doing for their entire life? For the rest of the day, they lay there, the sound of other felines resting and lizards and mice scuttling across the stone floor hushing them to sleep. But their sleep was only filled with nightmares, of a certain dark blue cat standing over them as lightning struck, with a sense of fear lingering in the air. There was no one coming to save you, not from solidarity. PART 3 - DRAINED Dizzy-lilycherish felt drained, void of existence and colour. They were grateful that Spider-lilyspindle and Voyagesail had came to visit them, keeping them company as they sat in the medicine den day after day, but this kind of nothingness wasn’t exactly good for their mental state. They fully understood that their wounds were still in need of attention and care, and that it wouldn’t be the best idea to run around the harsh desert in their current state. But why must they lie endlessly here for days and days, when their injuries were healing just fine? Dizzy-lilycherish had always known that WindClan wasn’t their home. They felt out of place, like a different coloured petal that was placed upon a dying flower, in an attempt to save it. They couldn’t imagine how they would currently feel if they didn’t have Spider-lilyspindle, or their friends, Voyagesail and Legendfaith, but there was still something wrong. There was no sense of family, of bonding. There was nothing tying them together with the clan, like a spiders web. Or a field of flowers.. Dizzy-lily had only been in RiverClan for a few moons, and at this stage and point in their life, they didn’t really remember it. But they did remember that there was a feeling of jubilee and happiness. Maybe that was because they actually had family there that cared about them, a parent that had actually done a good job of trying to nurture them. There was none of that in WindClan. It wasn’t the clans fault, nor the cats who lived here. It was them, and Sicariushug, therefore never breaking the tension that forever resided in the air. (continued in notes and credits)
(continued) Sometimes, Ditz thought about running away back to RiverClan, though for some reason they just knew that it wouldn’t be the same. They needed something new, though somewhere were they would still feel safe. ThunderClan? They knew they had a bit of family there, and it could be nice to start over, but… Wait. They remembered something. Nimbusstar, now the leader of ShadowClan, whom Dizzy had met before she climbed up the ranks. They remembered exploring the ruins with her, then parting ways as it was getting close to morning. Then, more recently meeting again and just having a simple chat. The grey furred cat had explained their fathers disappearance, as well as their emotions of being out of place. And in return, the grey she-cat had offered them a place to temporarily escape to. Now, how exactly did she know that was just what Dizzy was seeking at the present moment? Oh, what a beautiful coincidence. PART 4 - ESCAPISM It was another average day, where the cats of WindClan were sleeping away. Including the current felines in the medicine den. Now, now was a perfect chance. They felt incredibly guilty. They knew Spider-lilyspindle would probably worry, but understand. But how would Voyagesail react? And Legendfaith would probably try to follow them to make Vee feel better. It would be nice to have the golden-furred cat join them in their journey, but maybe for another time. Ditz needed to do this alone. So, trying their best to ignore those thoughts, they silently crept out of their matted nest, their now healed wounds still bandaged. They took one last look at camp, and dived out of the cave, into the sunlight. It was almost blinding. Luckily they had been out into the gaze of the golden rays before, or they may have fainted from the sheer power of the bright light. Wasting no time, they used all their strength, and ran. They ran past cacti, uphill, downhill, past coyotes and small desert foxes, until they reached the edge of the desert, and the entrance to the ShadowClan forest. And finally stepping foot into the lush, cool greenery- They finally felt free. And they had finally escaped. Now, a new chapter will begin. All Dizzy-lilycherish hoped was that they could come back with teal and amber eyes shining, and a simple, genuine smile planted on their face. ☆ ★ ☆ Thank you for reading this far!
