[NOTE: this is a fairly OLD project that I was going to add more to but then I DIDN'T because I couldn't be BOTHERED. although the saffronpaw one is pretty recent. but nepetalactone is from over a year ago lmao. Drawing is hard I'm not a visual artist mainly. The descriptions are old too.] Oh yeah clikc and space ALL CHARACTERS FROM TALES OF PERFECTHEART BY @9rainbowtails. MUSIC BY THE RESPECTIVE ARTISTS. VISUAL ART BY ME, COMPRISED OF MEDIA CREATED BY ME EXCEPT WHERE NOTED. Birdbird - 'Nepetalactone' by Venetian Snares (4:28) Nepetalactone is the active ingredient in catnip. I think this song is fittingly insane for Birdbird, and besides, it's cat-related! Monarchpaw (early) - 'A Day In The Radio' by Plus-Tech Squeeze Box (3:35) This is specifically a theme for monarch's earlier appearances; by now she's matured a lot more, but she used to be pretty much the embodiment of :3 . i thought this song suited that a lot. i made her a furry and combined it with her design from the d.a.n.c.e amv mainly because i thought it would look good Houndflight - 'Dog Song' by Melt-Banana (1:21) HE'S A DOG!!!!! WOAGH!!!! also i traced over the soyjak pointing meme. im sorry i love how horrifically uncanny monarchpaw looks here ThunderclanMedCat - 'TETCTETHTETCTEDECEHECOCHCDCHGHDHOHDGDODGDOGOGOGOG' by Patricia Taxxon (14:21) I usually just call it Techdog 7-1 (because it's the 1st track on Techdog 7). This song is very quiet - in fact it starts almost silent and gradually becomes audible. But it still doesn't really do that much, rather similar to ThunderclanMedCat. The art of ThunderclanMedCat itself is by @9rainbowtails, because it would be sacrilegious to try and redraw its perfect form. Saffronpaw - 'Behold a Marvel in the Darkness' by Deerhoof (3:30) this song seems (maybe) to be about trying to understand love from a scientific perspective, which is definitely something Saffronpaw (being aroace and supremely logic-driven) would do if he got interested in it. So here he is gathering information out in the field Ginkgokit - 'Yuop' by Autechre (6:22) Chapter 82, where Ginkgokit had his timeline edited by Silverpelt so he could grow up and be Silverpelt's speaker, was so crazy to me. Like, he evidently remembered his previous timeline. Ginkgokit would have figured out that he'd been resurrected in order to become the speaker, based on Silverpelt's actions in those last few moments. So, he received a blessing, and a curse. He was able to live again, to be in the real world, but all the time knowing that when he got old enough, he would die. And then what? Service as Silverpelt's speaker for infinity? (Well, it seemed like it could be infinity, at least.) Ginkgokit cries in that scene right after he's been brought back, crying happily for a second chance to properly exist. Crying for the knowledge that he will die once more, and everything will go back to how it was. Anyway, I picked this song because I thought it was suitably existential and conveyed significance, sadness, and celebration all at once. You probably won't hear it like that but whatever, it's my music taste. Images on the 'walls' are by 9rainbowtails.
