જ⁀➴ FAQs: ❶ What is SRC? Scratch Reading Camp (commonly abbreviated as SRC) is a camp on scratch where you get to read as a house to earn points. This is a friendly competition; in the end, everyone is a winner. This project is specifically for the (co)leader applications, to apply, remix this project with your answers! (note that even though you may not get to be a leader or a co-leader you can still apply to become a camper). If you would like to be notified of the camper sign-ups you can ask below. The rest of the information is in the project :D ❷ What are the (co)leader responsibilities? Please read this detailed list made by amazing Nat to understand what it means to be a (co)leader! We strongly encourage that you read it, as you will be noticed if you include any of these in your app ;) https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/958664625/ ❸ Houses (Cabins) Instead of having a set selection of houses, whatever the chosen leaders have asked for will most likely be the house selection we will have. We are planning to have at least 5 houses, and may decide on more. In your application, it'll ask you what house you'd like to (co)lead, and you may put any genres you are interested in! (Note that your house name won't determine what you can read.) This session it's up to YOU to choose what your preferences are, there is NO set list. With your house genre, you'll create a name for your house! Some examples from the last sessions are, "Utopian Sanctuary" "Tall Tales Treehouse" "Mystery Patisserie". you can get as creative as you want, as long as it follows the community guidelines. ❹ When will results come out? Approximately 1-3 days after the applications close, they will be announced on this project. Hopefully it won't take too long, keep in mind that this can be a complicated process. ❺ Can I choose my co-leaders right now? Please do not make arrangements when choosing co-leaders beforehand. This is strictly forbidden. Offers can be sent out after results are released but co-leaders cannot accept until 12 hours after results are released. Offers cannot be taken back, and there can be only 1 co-leader per house (unless a host says there can be more)! If anyone is found to be advertising their application to a selected leader their application will be disqualified, as well as anyone who makes rude remarks where everyone can see if they aren't selected. ❻ Can I apply if I am inexperienced? Yes, you can, whilst we do look at your past experiences, we value the quality of your answers and creative theme. There have been many first time applicants who have been selected as leader! ❼ What is the difference between Leader and Co-Leader? The leader is more 'in charge' of the house and has more responsibility, which could mean making more decisions, especially in the early stages of house development. They also have the ability to decide on any tasks regarding the house for both their co-leaders and themselves. That's pretty much it! If you have any further questions, please do ask on one of the hosts profiles (linked in the leader applications). Thank you! ೃ༄ - Nat and the SRC hosting team
