ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ - TW - ㅤㅤㅤ Mention of d3@th, trauma, and slight gore. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤYou have been warned... ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ(- S & L -) ㅤㅤ----------------------------------------------------------------- While searching in the Archives, you pull out a box with an extremely dusty cassette tape. There's no files or anything else in it... just that tape, labeled "Loop #47?". Looking around, you don't see anyone... yet. Wiping off the dust, you go to the Archivist's desk and put it in the cassette player. The static is louder than in any previous recording, but you can still hear the Archivist and Martin... just barely.. ㅤㅤ----------------------------------------------------------------- ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ+ click + ㅤㅤ----------------------------------------------------------------- [Audible sigh] "...This is... loop number... 47... and... recent death was... stabbed then set on fire..." [Pencil scraping paper sounds] "no... it's not 47... it's 147... right?" [Door opening then being closed] M: "You okay?" "I'm fine.. Just recording what.. happened.." M: "Right..." [Martin's footsteps get closer] M: "Are you honestly sure?" [Silence from the Archivist] M: "Jon.... your palms are burnt... and I think I can still see a few bits of charcoal in your hair.." "I know... these... have been getting worse... remember the one where..." [He pauses, gesturing to the stitches covering his body.] M: "I hated that one.." [The sound of ribs cracking can be heard] "Martin! Quit hugging me so tightly that my ribs would break.." [The sound stops] M: "Sorry, sorry..." "Next time.. hug without your strength all going to your arms?" M: "I'll try.. no promises." [His footsteps fade and the door is shut] "Okay...right... the loop..." [another sigh] "We... don't know who caused it this time... but hopefully, we can get out before it reaches 200... and the fea-" ㅤㅤ ㅤ ㅤ ㅤ[The tape is suddenly stopped..] ㅤㅤ----------------------------------------------------------------- "Where did you get that?" Jon asks, voice sounding like a sharp table saw as he pulled the tape out. { "Um- uh. h-hello.. I was looking for a different statement, but guess I got lost.." } "...You find any other tapes that say 'Loop' on them... you give them to me immediately." { "Y-yes sir.. this was the only one in that box.." } "Good." He puts the tape in a separate box. "Which statement were you looking for?" { "Uh, the one about 'Grifter's Bone'... I forgot the case number.." } "Ah, that one is in the music and book case box." He pulls out another box full of tapes all organized by supplemental. "Got it." A tape with a skull and guitar is handed over. { "Th-thank you, sir... and.. I'll try my best to keep /that/ a secret.." } "Please do." He then walks off. You nod, watching him walk away, then exit the Archives, the Grifter's Bone tape held tightly in one hand. Loops... just how long has the Archivist been hiding this? He did say 147 in that one... but based on the amount of dust on it, he's most likely nearing 200 by now..
