So I decided to draw Carl in a different light (figuratively and literally). Backstory for this piece (should you choose to read it): So Carl has long called his cave his home. But besides resting in it, storing his gold, and defending it from humans, Carl likes to explore his cave. You see, Carl's cave is a lot bigger than it first looks. Carl has not explored all of his cave but loves doing so, to see what he finds. However, his cave can be very dark, and it can be hard to see what he finds, despite his monster night vision. Here, he was out exploring one of the darkest caves, when he saw a faint glow in the distance. He grabbed the glowing object and went to the area in the cave he loves the most, besides the area where he lives. It's an area, where an overland stream slips through a crack in the cave, causing a brilliant waterfall and an underground stream. It also allows a small stream of light to shine in, revealing to Carl that his glowing thing is a sparkly blue gem, which he is mesmerized by.
