Moonshine sat on the edge of her bed, replaying the events of the potions lesson in her mind, remembering Fred’s amused face as Snape sat down. She smiled a little and swung her legs under the covers. At least Fred’s pranks would distract her from having Flick near her. And Alexandra seemed nice. Hopefully they could make friends. She rested her head on the pillow and sighed. Hogwarts was great, no one could deny that, and she was even more excited to learn new things. Potions wasn’t the best, but she had also had her first ever defence against the dark arts lesson today. It was taught by a man named Professor Orchids. He was a new teacher, and had just started this year. Fred had told her that his older brother Charlie had said that Hogwarts had a new defence against the dark arts teacher every year. Moonshine liked Professor Orchids much more than she had liked Snape. As these thoughts circled in her head, she drifted off to sleep. She woke with a start later that night. She couldn’t tell what time it was, except that it was late. Maggie, and the three other girls they shared a room with: Leila, Jade and Ivy, were all fast asleep. Moonshine couldn’t work out how she had been awoken. She sat up, rubbing her eyes, and then heard something. A tapping. It was repeated, over and over and over. She looked around, trying to find the source of it. A figure stood at the window, a finger tapping on it. Moonshine stood up, moving slowly closer. She peered through the glass. The figure was dressed in a black cloak, their hood up, casting their face in shadow. But Moonshine peered closer, and saw a pair of bright green eyes she knew so well...
Thanks to @Alexandra_Riddle for Alexandra. Write who you think the figure is in the comments!!!
