(Here we go. Also the picture is unrelated, A filler) Outside of a random Petco Bucky was waiting outside the store. He had his hat on, and his hands in his pockets. Steve pulled up on his motorcycle. "Hey Buck. Thor and his brother will probably be here soon." Bucky sighed. "How does Loki keep getting invited to things?" Thor came around from the side of the building. "Because I can't leave him alone in Asgard where he will cause more mischief than he can down here." Loki smirked at Bucky. "We meet again." "Obviously." Bucky turned back to Steve and Thor. "It looks like the store will be open in a few minutes. So, I guess we can just wait out here a little longer." Loki looked annoyed by that fact, but kept quiet at the look on his brother's face. He glanced around disdainfully at the surrounding stores and parking lot Bucky turned to Steve. "Why are we all here anyway? I'm assuming for pets, but why?" Steve smiled. "You need a dog." Bucky shook his head but smiled too. "Fine. That's not a good enough answer though." A man came out from the store. "Um... We're open now, if that's what you were waiting on." "No, we just randomly stand outside places." Loki told him, still looking annoyed. Thor shoved his brother aside. "Ignore him." The man nodded, looking very confused. "Well, come on in, I suppose." He opened the door. Bucky and Steve followed the Asgardians inside. Some birds were chirping down one aisle, and ferrets were wrestling in their cage. The whole place smelled like animals and pet food. Steve looked around. "Where do you want to start at?" he asked the group. Thor shrugged. "I do not know much about the Earth animals." He turned to his brother, who had disappeared. Thor sighed. "You know what, I'm not going after him. Hopefully he's still in the store, I can't imagine he can do much here." Thor still glanced around as if he might spot him. "Where would you like to start?" He asked, turning back to Bucky and Steve. Steve shrugged. "I don't care. We could just look around. If you want to go see what pets they have you can." Bucky nodded. "Well, Steve says I need a dog so I might go look for one." "I suppose I'll join you there. The only thing I know about stores like these is that they don't sell horses." Thor told them. "I guess we can start there." Steve looked around again. "Thor, where is your brother? Its worrying that he is not causing any obvious trouble right now." Thor sighed unhappily. "I honestly have no idea. I probably should look for him though." He set off in a random direction. "Good luck with the dog!" Bucky frowned. "I have an idea of how to find Loki." Steve shook his head. "That seems like a bad idea." Bucky nodded. "A little bit. I'm going to go find myself a dog" He walked away to the back of the store. Steve sighed. "Maybe the cashier has seen Loki." Thor came back over a minute later. "I asked the staff. None of them has seen him." He sighed again. "I swear I'm going to put him chains when I find him." Thor looked around. "Where's Bucky?" "Looking at the dogs. He had an idea of how to find Loki." Steve sighed again. Meanwhile in the dog section of the store: Bucky was petting a German Shepard puppy, when he heard a noise from behind him. "Loki?" The dog started licking his hand as fast as it could. Loki was leaning on the wall behind him. "Yes?" He gave the dog a look. "I never have understood why people enjoy those." Another dog came over and tried to lick him, and Loki pushed it away, looking bothered. Two more dogs started chewing on his cape, and another one started licking his shoes. Bucky gently pushed the puppy away. It came back and tried to lick his face. "They're kind of cute." Loki pulled another one off him, dumping it unceremoniously next to Bucky. "Really." Another puppy had started trying to climb his leg, and Loki shoved it away with his foot. He pulled his cape out of two more dog's mouths. A small poodle came over, and with great ceremony, peed on Loki's foot. Bucky started laughing at the look of disgust on Loki's face.
Loki kicked the dog, who scampered off with a yelp, cowering behind Bucky, who was still laughing. Loki glared at him, looking ready to stab him. "Oh yes. Adorable." A puppy came over to lick him and Loki stepped aside, shoving it towards Bucky. Bucky stood up, and collected all the dogs. Once all of the puppies were back in their kennels, he picked up the one with the German Shepard puppy. "Well, Loki. Did you want a dog? That poodle seemed to like you." Loki gave him a look. "You're hilarious." Thor came down the aisle. "Bucky have you seen Loki?" He hadn't yet spotted his brother, who disappeared again. Thor stopped. "I swear I just saw him next to you for half a second..." He trailed off. "Loki!" Bucky looked around. "Well, he's gone again. Great." Steve came over. "Did you find Loki?" Bucky nodded. "For five minutes, yes. I did find a dog like you wanted me to." Steve bent down to look at the puppy. "Good." Bucky pointed to the dog kennels. "Now it's your turn." Thor had gone in search of his brother again. "Where would he have gone?" Thor sighed, thinking. "Looking for me?" Loki was behind his brother, holding a cat in his arms. It was black furred with blue eyes, and missing an ear. Thor turned around. "Where did you get that?" Loki shrugged. "We are in a pet store." Steve came over with a kennel. Inside was a golden retriever puppy, sound asleep. "Bucky went to buy some dog food, and supplies. Thor, is there any specific pet that you want? We have time." Thor shook his head. "No, I think I'm good. I bet it will take both of us to handle that." He pointed to Loki's cat, which hissed back. Loki grinned at it. "I like these creatures." Bucky came over with a basket of assorted pet supplies. "I'm ready to check out if everyone else is." His dog barked at Loki's cat. Steve's puppy woke up and started chewing on the bars of the cage. Steve nodded. "I think we're all ready." Thor nodded. "Do you happen to have any Earth money? I only have Asgardian on me. Unless they'll let us have that cat for free. I can't imagine anyone else wants it. " Loki rolled his eyes at his brother. The cat hissed again, flattening its ears as if it could tell it was being insulted. Steve pulled out some money. "Here, this should be enough." They went to the checkout line. The cashier seemed slightly worried at the commotion. Bucky's puppy was still barking, despite his efforts to get it to quiet down. Loki's cat was hissing at the dog. Steve's golden retriever was the only one behaving. They finished paying and went outside the store. "Well. That went slightly better than expected." Thor looked at his brother and his cat. "What are you even going to name that thing?" The cat was still hissing at Bucky's dog, straining to claw at it. Bucky's dog was barking even louder now. Bucky tapped the bars of the kennel. "Quiet, boy. Please quiet down." The cat finally broke free from Loki's grip and leapt onto the bars of Bucky's cage, trying to claw through the grate, hissing increasingly louder. Bucky picked up the cage, trying to shake the cat off. Finally he picked up the cat with his left hand and gave it back to Loki. The cat went insane in his grip, trying to claw his metal arm to shreds. Loki took the cat back, where it instantly calmed, except for the occasional hiss. "I like this cat." He grinned at Thor. "Imagine Odin's reaction to it." He looked at his cat. "I hope it claws him." Thor gave him a look. "Brother..." Bucky gave Loki a look. "That cat is a terror." Steve put his dog's kennel on the back of his motorcycle. Once he'd secured it down, he came back over. Thor looked at the sky. "We should really be going. I wouldn't want father to worry." Loki snorted. "If anything he'd like you to keep me down here longer." The cat hissed its agreement. Bucky looked at his dog, who had finally quieted. "Yeah, I need to go too." He handed a bag of pet supplies to Steve, then looked at the clock on his flip phone. "I have to be somewhere in a hour." Loki gave him a curious look, but said nothing. His cat narrowed its eyes at Bucky. Thor was watching it. "I swear, that thing understands us." The cat blinked at him, before licking its tail nonchalantly. "It does need a name." He looked at it thoughtfully. Bucky put his phone back in his pocket. "I have to go now, but I'm sure I can hear about your cat next time." Steve nodded. "See you later Buck." Thor nodded. "We're leaving now." He told Loki, who nodded. "Sure." Thor looked slightly worried, but they bifrosted anyway, leaving a smoldering circle on the concrete outside Petco.
