- Backstory that I entered along with the dta - Helian was a young boy soon to start his training to become an artificer like his father, and his father's father, and on and on. One day, Helian came across a kitten, strewn across the side of the path alone, eyes not even opened. He took the kitten home and his mother, a druid, taught him to care for the animal. And so the kitten, now named Adelia, became Helian's companion, who he loved dearly. Though, as all things go, cats do not truly have nine lives. Years went by, Helian growing older and so did Adelia. Helian moved to another town to be able to sell his inventions. Waving goodbye, Adelia in her own small satchel, Helian sent off. Night fell and they continued through the woods until they came across a small clearing. There, Helian started setting up a simple camp for the night as Adelia sniffed the area and claimed the trees as her own by scratching them. In the blink of an eye, Helian realized he couldnt see Adelia anymore. A thin trail of blood led away from the clearing, barely noticable and Helian followed it immideantly. It led to a shadowed creature, and below it, being torn into, was Adelia. Helian's apperance startled the creature, and knowing he was far too large for it to have a chance, it ran away. Before Helian could even get to look close enough at her he knew he was too late. For some reason, something made Helian put what was left of his friend into her satchel. He went back to the clearing and picked up what he had set up of the camp and made himself keep going towards the new town. He walked until he physically couldnt anymore and only then did he stop to eat and rest. But after that, he was back on his feet. His legs ached, and he ignored them. After about 5 days travel, Helian made it to the town. He did not speak much when he got there, and most townsfolk assumed he simply did not know the language well. He bought a small home that had been abandoned for quite some time, cleared a space, and took out what was left of Adalia. Helian had been careful, and made sure she had been kept away from things that would make her decompose faster or eat her, and she was practically the same as he had found her that night. He laid her peices out in order, and took note of what he would need, before returning her to her satchel where she would be safe. Helian managed to gather some parts from his new home and some he managed to trade for. Helian, being an artificer, used the parts to repair Adalia's body. It was an odd assortment, a clock on her left hip, gears along the back of her front right leg, and other strange items. But it was functional, and Helian couldnt risk Adalia's body decaying further. Though, with all the parts he had managed to gather, it wasnt enough. Still, left unpatched, was a large gash in the side of Adalia's head and bottom of her ear. Helian reached into his own pack, and pulled out the head of a flower. This flower was given to Helian by his mother had given him before he had left. She had told him it was a special flower, one that would never wilt. With a slight bit of hesitation, Helian set the flower against where it needed to go, and stitched it in. I havent quite figured out the manner Helian did it, but he captured a lightning bug and brought it back, where he shocked Adalia back to life basically frankenstein-style
