Whew! Just before the deadline, yet again. Welcome to my SGTVII Semi Finals project - yet another original song, this time based around the account of creation and the fall found in Genesis 1-3, from the perspective of Eve, the first woman. I took some creative liberties in order to fully portray Eve’s guilt over the mistake that doomed the world. I also alluded to the first messianic prophecy (that is, the first prophecy alluding to Christ) also found in Genesis 3, though Eve’s commentary about it in this song is filled with foresight Eve would not have really had. I wanted this song to be a bit more complex, with maybe a few harmonies and a full animatic, but I just didn’t have time. Thankfully, I’m happy with the finished product - hope you like it! Here, I focused more on the synthetic instruments, like different kinds of string patches and the celeste, so no real instruments this time, but I did mess around with tempo and doctoring the vocals leading into the last chorus. Anyway, thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy!

Additionally, bass notes in the chorus are changed to a descending pattern, widely considered the “saddest” bass line
