It was a Sunday morning like every other. Volha Mikalaichykava woke early in the morning. Her mother, Anastasiya, looked like she hadn't gotten any sleep and her father, Siarhei (Mikalaichyk) looked like he hadn't gotten any sleep either. "Oh I didn't get any sleep." Her mother said. "Why?" Volha asked her. "Didn't you hear it?" Her father asked, "It sounded like everything was exploding outside..." "And you didn't wake me? WHAT IF WE WERE ABOUT TO DIE?" Volha said. "Oh, well this happens a lot, been going on for years." Siarhei said calmly, "It's completely NORMAL." Volha just stared. "NORMAL? That is definitely not NORMAL." Said Volha. Volha went out for a walk later. 'Just another day in Belarus...' She whispered. Later she met with her friend, Vladislav Rostov. Apparently every night he heard the same things Volha's parents heard. She then wondered, How could I possibly sleep through that while everyone else is awake? The next day they learned in class about geography. "There is Poland, there is Ukraine, there is Lithuania, there is Latvia oh and there is Russia." The teacher said pointing at the countries she named on a map they had in the classroom. "Now, what to do if you ever find a bomb..." The teacher said. Volha didn't know how knowing about what to do when you found a bomb was geography. Whatever. She thought, It's more interesting then history. When she got home she was tired and fell asleep. When she woke up it was because the parents woke her, the house was on fire. They ran outside. She was flipping out then Siarhei said, "Oh it happens EVER DAY. It is completely NORMAL."
Why did I make this? Not sure I just did. It is about Belarus I guess... Song: Belarusochka
