Georgia sat on the plane silently, watching her movie. She was on a 6 hour flight - from Louisiana to Maine - to see her boyfriend, Charlie. It was December 3rd, and he had been nagging her to come and see the snow. She had lived in Louisiana and never really seen any snow, except when she had been very little. Even so, she didn’t really remember it. She looked at the people next to her, who were all dressed in warm clothes. She had a purple jacket on, but she was worried it wouldn’t be warm enough. She didn’t exactly know how to pack warm. Her family trips had been to Arizona, Florida, and Hawaii, never anywhere extremely cold. She turned back to her movie, trying to distract herself. ~ Hours later, Georgia stood up and walked off the plane, immediately looking around for Charlie. She spotted his dark hair and ran over to him. When he noticed Georgia, a grin appeared on his face and he picked her up, spinning her around. “How are you?” She asked, breaking away from him and looking into his eyes. “Better now that you’re here,” he said, grinning at the blush that spread across her face. “Stop it,” she said, giggling, “Has there been much snow?” He shook his head, “No, not really. But maybe you’ll be our lucky charm.” She raised her eyebrows. “Yeah, sure. Should we get out of here?” He nodded. “Yeah, let's go home.” ~ “Welcome to Holiday House,” Charlie said as he led her into the house, “I named it all by myself.” Georgia looked around. “Oh really? When?” “Back when I was a kid, my mom went crazy for Christmas, and I just started calling it Holiday House.” Georgia grinned. “Cool! So did you guys have a lot of Christmas traditions?” Charlie nodded. “Yeah, we did a lot of stuff. Cookie baking, tree decorating, Christmas caroling, the works. How about you guys?” Georgia shrugged. “Not really. We usually flew somewhere warm. My parents didn’t really like the snow, and they didn’t want me to like it either.” Charlie hugged her. “That’s so weird. I’m sure we’ll be waking up to a winter wonderland, so get ready!” ~ Georgia awoke and stretched her arms. She walked down the stairs of Holiday House and saw Charlie in the entryway, grinning at her. “It snowed!” He exclaimed, his eyes full of excitement. He tossed her a puffy silver jacket and she put it on over her pajamas. The two of them walked outside, looking around in wonder. Georgia grinned at Charlie. “This is seriously awesome!” Charlie laughed at her. “I know, right?” He picked up a handful of snow, packed it into a ball, and tossed it at her. Georgia was able to grab it before it landed. She threw it back at him, hitting him softly in the chest. “Well, I guess it’s your first snow day,” Charlie said, “What do you want to do?” Georgia bit her lip, thinking. “How does…everything sound?”
