space or purple arrow to advance, click to zoom in! full screen recommended (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧ since scratch ruins the image quality a bit which makes the words hard to read this comic is preferably read here: https://tapas.io/series/one-last-glimpse also found on tumbler (corkylecorko), blue bird (corkylecork), hoyolab (corkylecork), pink purple yellow camera (corky.lecork) 新年快乐！ chúc mừng năm mới! happy lunar new year! i decided to finally start a project that i've been wanting to make for a while which is make a comic for my genshin ocs, cornelius and heiyaoshi <3 i usually don't have the motivation for long-term projects so i'm proud of myself for actually being able to finish this! enjoy my silly little comic featuring shy femboy, impulsive nước mắm chugger, hoodie boi gang (dim sum lion and popsicle guy), other hydro femboy, dr. snake, electro eye patch woman, canadian aether, and one punch man (人*´∀｀)｡*ﾟ+ the first few pages were made before ga ming was released so he's kinda out of character lol- small note: cornelius is epileptic, so he has motor dysgraphia. he has poor dexterity so he literally physically can't hold chopsticks correctly which is why he's death gripping the chopsticks at the beginning here's a small written portion that i didn't draw because i thought it sounded better written down: Cornelius's gaze slowly traced down to Heiyaoshi again, whose figure was outlined by a gentle gold glow similar to that of a wax candle. He was seated on his knees, a calligraphy brush held by his slender fingers as he swiftly penned a few words onto their paper lantern. Heiyaoshi's eyes always had a glassy shine to them, as if they were mirrors glazed with moonlight, the hundreds of lanterns in the sky reflecting off them and taking their place as stars in Heiyaoshi's gentle marble mirrors. Like crystalline sand sprinkled throughout the blue. Cornelius found his gaze lingering a little too long and he snapped his head away immediately. He always radiated heat, as Chongyun had pointed out many times before, and he was used to it, but now he could feel the warmth gathering up around his cheeks and ears. "Do you want to write anything, Cornelius?" Heiyaoshi asked gently, holding out the brush. He smiled—not his usual nervous smile, but a sweet, soft smile with both his mouth and eyes. "Nah," Cornelius responded. "My handwriting sucks. Your handwriting makes it pretty enough." Heiyaoshi giggled and tenderly took Cornelius's hand, placing the brush in his palm and positioning his fingers around it. The heat in Cornelius's face rose a little. Thank Morax it was nighttime, otherwise Heiyaoshi would probably think he was sick. "What do you want to wish for?" Heiyaoshi asked. "Last year you wished for a six-pack and it came true, didn't it?" Cornelius laughed. "I also wished for several billion Mora." That smile again. Like moonlight in a starless sky. "What'd you wish for?" Cornelius scooted a little closer to Heiyaoshi, leaning a bit so their arms were touching. "'Good health, good fortune'—" Cornelius hesitated. "'Please keep Cornelius safe, strong, and happy'." Heiyaoshi didn't respond immediately. Cornelius could feel his arm tremble a bit against his. "You're put through a lot more danger than most people in Liyue. O-Of course I want you to stay safe." Cornelius smiled. "You didn't need to add the happy part, y'know?" "Oh—why's that?" Heiyaoshi's expression seemed to fall slightly. "I'm already really happy. Well, when I'm with you, at least." Cornelius wrapped his arm around Heiyaoshi's shoulders and squeezed him gently. The tip of the brush hovered over the lantern's fabric right next to where Heiyaoshi had written his name. 「有缘千里来相会。」 'Separated as we are, thousands of miles apart, we come together as if by destiny.' "Oh..." Heiyaoshi glanced at Cornelius and back at the words he had written. The stars in his eyes seemed to wobble a little. "You taught me how to write that when we were young, remember?" Cornelius said quietly. "I don't think I have anything to wish for. I have everything right here, right next to me." Heiyaoshi covered his mouth and nose with his hands and turned away. Cornelius gently cupped Heiyaoshi's chin and turned his head so they were face-to-face again. "You're like the stars to me, Heiyaoshi.
