Click the green flag and let the blobs go! Each blob has a size, speed, vision, stamina and hunger level. The colour of the blob corresponds to the speed. To see the average speed and other stats, hold down space. They randomly walk around at the start, eating apples for food. If a blob manages to eat no apples before its stamina depletes, it starves, and leaves no copies behind. If the blob eats one apple, it has enough to reproduce once, leaving a copy. When a copy is made, there is a 1 in 3 chance of mutation, where the speed and size don't exactly match up with its father blob, making it slower or faster. The faster and bigger a blob is, the faster the stamina depletes. If a blob eats 2 food, it reproduces twice to have 2 copies, and if it eats 3 or more food it makes 4 copies. There is also a chance for mutation to affect vision, so the blob could see apples from farther away. To see the vision of a blob, hover over the blob. Once all the blobs run out of stamina, the generation ends and the next one starts. The game ends when no blobs get any food, rendering the blob species extinct.
