This was just a school assignment. Don't waste your time reading the description. It just talks about moon phases. Information: 1. The moon gets its light from the sun. 2. We see all the different moon phases because only half of the moon is lit at a time, more specifically, the half facing the sun. From Earth, we see different amounts of light depending on where the moon is in its orbit. When the moon is in between the Earth and the sun, we (don't) see a new moon. When the moon is on the other side of Earth, when Earth is between the sun and the moon, we see a full moon.
