★ Tunnel of Dreams (Prologue) ❝My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep; the more I give to thee, the more I have, for both are infinite.❞ - Shakespeare °`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°` William was laying down in bed, reflecting on the previous day. It overwhelmed him that just hours ago he was on the Flying Dutchman, doing his duty of ferrying souls to the next world. Now, after a lengthy period of catching up with his wife, Elizabeth, and his son, Henry, he was back at the home Elizabeth had made in Pirate's Cove... where she had been forced to raise Henry all by herself... Oh, Henry. Will couldn't comprehend at first that his son broke the bond between him and the Dutchman. When Henry had tracked down the ghostly ship years ago, expressing his desire to find the Trident of Poseidon and free his father, Will had told him to give up his quest. He would not have his only son go on reckless adventures for a fool's chance. Especially with Henry's preferred companion at the time... Although, he did end up helping Henry, didn't he? And now all was well... These thoughts consumed Will for a considerable amount of time, but eventually he drifted off to sleep. °`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°` THUNK. Clunk. Thunk. Clunk. 'There he was, the boy who had messed up everything... And his- Ha!' He gave a derisive laugh that only he could hear. 'His... love.' He thought, relishing the moment. The figure held up a hand that was covered in a claw that resembled a crab's. Suddenly it was pitch black and he could hear a familiar woman's screaming; he took a sort of sadistic pleasure in it. But... did he? Why was he feeling so unnerved, then? Why did he feel the opposite of pleasure, but fear and anguish? Will jumped up out of bed in a cold sweat. He tried his best to steady himself. He was Will Turner. He was free. The horrors of his past were behind him. He felt he was merely deluding himself with these thoughts, but shook the feeling away and quickly looked beside him. Elizabeth was still there, still sleeping, still by his side... as she always would be. °`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°`°` ⚔️ Notes: Hope you all liked the prologue! It's basically just recapping the cutscene in D3ad Men Tell no Tales, but it's a bit different... You'll see. ;) I feel like people don't appreciate how much Pirates of the Carribean intertwines love with the story. To Winter and Meg: GO WATCH POTC >:0 Main: Music: Will and Elizabeth's theme
