Oh the cold north. Never is it warmer than in the winter. The festivals of Tengah light up the white powdered streets, bakeries work double time filling the streets with the sweet scents of exotic cinnamon and vanilla. Pine is poured into candles and the streets are covered in sculptures of ice and paper hangings, frozen solid. And at the center of it all? The beloved monarch Salju, after all, Tengah celebrates the death of his father, Kutukan. Welcome one and all, to the festivals of Tengah! Our second lore based roleplay event! A warm time In the north to enjoy trough the bitter winds of the winter. This event includes a few things, a more detailed map of the northern mortal settlements, a lore drop for the north, a currency update, an art competition and some heartwarming roleplay! First off, the northern settlements map. We find ourselves in the capital of the lands, Panon, named after the state. It is where Monarch Salju lives in his castle, and where most of the upper classes live. Then there is Panon’s sister city, Dewa. Dewa is larger than Panon and houses much of the state of Panon’s trade. It is a pleasant place to live, for those who have something to offer. To the east we find Wetan and Tebith, small towns that act as checkpoints to the other state bordering the Great Lake of Badag. Kaler further north functions the same way, easing travel to the pole. Puerto is a small fishing and trade town, producing much of the crop of Panon along with Imah, a farming town where the majority of the population lives, and where the states post is homed. Kidul is another small border town. Politics in Panon Panon is both a monarchy and a democracy. In its past under the rule of the deceased immortal Kutukan, it was simply a cruelly led monarchy, but under the new monarch Salju they are working towards freedom. Salju has made himself an idol of the state, where to truly function and rule he has a council of trusted politicians in place. So far the majority of the population has been relived by Salju’s kindness, as compared to his father he is a truly excellent monarch. The festival of Tengah Tengah is celebrated throughout the month of the death of Kutukan, who was killed by a demon under the command of Salju, though the public knows his death to be of a strange illness his immortality couldn’t fend off. This year is the 10th time Kutukan will have been celebrated, and the festivities are greater then ever, all kinds of craft and food being sold locally as the first snows fall. And even as demon attacks are becoming more frequent, Panon is in good spirits. Currency update As some of you know, the currency in the world of BORP is known as Pieces, and split into full half and quarter pieces. The roleplay A thread will be started to let some characters enjoy the festivities and get some possibly exclusive items! It will be set in the city of Imah! Anyone can join after filling out this form Nickname // characters attending the festival // activity level [please be aware that if you cannot stay active your character may be left behind in roleplay.] Art competition!
