Read the instructions then press the green flag! ~~~ In this Solitaire, you want to match pairs of cards that add to thirteen! In this case, a Jack equals eleven, and a Queen equals twelve. If there is a King, that counts as a wild card! (You can match it with whatever.) If you run out of cards in your hand that match the card in front, but have pairs in your hand that add up to thirteen, you can drag one of those cards to the front pile to match it with one of the cards in your hand. If you have no matches left, press the replay button in the top right corner to keep your high score (high score will reset when the green flag is pressed, so keeping high score is the purpose of the replay button). If your hand gets out of order (cards in front of cards that they shouldn't be), you can just click the 'sort' button in the corner, although usually you shouldn't have to. ~~~ Disclaimer: "Beating" the game is extremely unlikely as this is more a game of luck than it is a game of skill. There are some small choices like how you use the Kings that can get you further through the deck, but this is mostly based on the luck of the shuffle. (My best score so far is 12.)
Notes: (Credits below↓) If you encounter any bugs, issues, or glitches, please let me know! I am planning on adding features to this such as a personal high score (that doesn't get lost when the flag is pressed or tab reloaded), colour themes for the background and card deck, and background music! My goal when I used Scratch back in 2019 was always to try and get on the front page, so my goal now is probably to try to make a card game that is front-page worthy. Credits: Coding - All the coding was made without reference either by testing different things or from things I learned four to five years ago when I last used Scratch regularly. ~~~ Art - I made the cards using ibis Paint. I made the button and thumbnail in Scratch vector. ~~~ Idea - I believe that this is an original idea for a solitaire variation as I have never seen one that works like this one (although the 'pairs that add to thirteen' idea I got from pyramid solitaire), if someone knows of a solitaire variation that has a different name that works the same as this one, please tell me so I can change the name to one that would be more recognisable. _________________________ Date Started: 14th of February, 2024 1.0 Completed: 23rd of February, 2024 1.1- Fixed Sigle-Digit Highscore: 5th of March, 2024 ~~ Plans for 2.0: -New back of card art and new background art, possibly multiple for choice of themes -Saved high score for individual users (even with reload and green flag) -Background music, possibly a mix of tracks/choice of track -(tell me your ideas!)
