Backstory! -------------------- Rainbow, or Rain, was taking a nap one gloomy and rainy day. She was resting until she felt like something had woken her up. She then unwillingly heard a noise- no, rather a voice calling her. 'Rain,' she heard it call. 'Rain'. She woke up shyly, looking about. 'Rain!' it hissed again. "W-who are y-you?", she asked terrified. 'It is me,' it said. 'your spirit,' it whispered. "W-what are you g-going to d-do?" she asked nearly dead of fear. 'I shall take you,' it calmly said. 'to the place of your happiness.' "WHAT!?!" cried Rain. But no! She got instantly whirled, around and around and around. Suddenly, she found herself in a place enveloped in sunlight, and clouds. "Where am I?" she said, noticing the beautiful surroundings. 'This is yours,' the voice said, and with a whoosh, she was all alone, in that luxurious paradise. "Mine..." she trailed off. "Wait wha-" she said confused while she was immediately whipped into a cloud, tumbling. "Oof!" she said. She then heard the voice again! 'Stay here and become a water droplet in this beautiful paradise or go back to Earth! What do you say... BECOME A DROPLET!!!' "NEVER!" she cried. She then fell, from the soft, fluffy raincloud to the hard, rocky earth. * DRAMTIC PAUSE FOR THE AMOUNT OF TIME SHE SPENT WHILE FALLING! * After such a tremendous fall, she recovered only after an hour or so. "The voice!" she said when she was finally awake. She heard it again! 'Suit yourself!' it echoed. Her clan-mates then surrounded her. "Where were you???" "Why are you wet?!?" "Yay! You're back!" 'Suit yourself...,' she heard. When she finally told them what happened, everyone gasped. From then till today cats from all over the world acknowledge her dangerous decision and recognize her as Rain.
