“Well?” asked Shining Sunbeam, her white fur rippling. “When do we go?” I was traveling with my small group, trying to find the sacred place Moon Seer had told us was waiting before she was gone. “Autumn Leaf,” I said desperately. “When do we go?” I echoed Shining Sunbeam. Autumn Leaf’s ruff fluffed up. “Will you calm down, you two?” he asked us impatiently. “Shining Sunbeam, I know you want to find your family, but this is no excuse for you to act like this, Splashing Rain!” Angry, I growled, “Well? We’re kind of in the middle of nowhere, if you haven’t noticed!” Suddenly, Dark Shadow let out a soft hiss. In unison, our group smacked their tails on the ground, and then there was nothing more in the dark alley than a yellow leaf, a steady dripping of rain, a mysterious shadow with nothing attached, a sunbeam lighting up the alley, a small ice block, and a small flame dancing in the corner. Suddenly, the shadow grew tall. I concentrated, and soon we were all back in the alley. Dark Shadow listened for noise, then beckoned. I followed her with the others, uncertain of our path ahead.
