I sorta just copied Gwlyddymry from HU, but that is also my own creation, and this is slightly different) Press Space INFO: Known locally as Cynghreiriad, but globally as Cyngrad (cunn-grad), or officially the Prifdom of Cyngrad, this new nation is a Cyngri (Welsh) + English speaking nation found north of Soltistan and Kermonia, in the far north-west. The Cynghi have lived in these lands for thousands of years, developing a significant and distinctive tongue. They are major exporters of natural resources like coal and slate, and various metals along with steelworks and ironworks. Cyngrad also has a significant trade in seafood. Unfortunately, Cyngrad is largely unfit for crop growing, so most crop foods are imported from abroad. Cyngrad is a federal kingdom (since the Federal Reformation of 1322) run by His Royal Highness Prif Owain ap Dafydd of House Aethwy. It is made up of 7 baronies (centered around the 7 cities) and 5 federal territories (Aethwy, Penmo, Aeron, Ynysoedd, Ymyl) each federal territory has a royal family/house. Each 8 years (or after the resignation or death of a Prif) elections are held. The candidates are the house heads. Once these have been chosen, the winning federal state then elects it's new house/federal head from the family while the house head takes the throne. These territories (which have their own armies) exist to stop any tyrannical rule from an elected Prif (King.) Under Rheolau 2, other royal houses are not required to come to aid of the monarchy if it is being challenged by another Cynghi house. This ensures the power balance. Cyngrad has a population of 5.1 million and an army of 800,000 in active serving personnel along with another rough 2,200,000 trained additional reserve and another 1,200,000 deemed fit for service (Conscripts) if Cyngrad would ever find itself at an official 'existence threatening war'. This would total up to 4,200,000 troops. However this largest form of the army has never been called upon, as it is believed that Cyngrad's economy could not sustain such a force.
