Too Long My Love:(2023) Louis ran across the airport trying to avoid contact with anything and just reach his gate. Louis dogged a man but ran straight into a lady. “Blood ‘ell. I'm sorry ‘m so late.” He helped up the woman and she patted his cheek just like his mum had. Louis’ eyes burned and he shut out the thought. “Your fine son.” The woman gave him a smile and Louis nodded his thanks and started running again. He made it to the ticket lady and handed his ticket to her and sped walked into the plane. It was crowded inside but Louis found a window seat in the back. He put his backpack under his feet and his suitcase in the cubby above the seats. Louis took a deep breath and pulled out his phone. He pulled up his playlist of downloaded songs and shut himself off of the world while he put his earbuds in. *** Louis was startled awake as the man next to him let out a trophy worthy snore. Louis flipped off the sleeping man and the small innocent boy that must have been his son giggled and Louis smiled a friendly smile to him. Louis turned back to his open window and let out a relieved sigh as he saw the familiar ground below him. Italy. Louis felt the plane point a little downwards and tried to breath as they landed. The man beside him was still asleep as the plane opened so Louis gave the child a high five, and climbed across the man after he got his backpack. Louis grabbed his suitcase and fought his way out of the plane full of giggling and screaming girls. A couple of them recognized him even in his not Louis like outfit. “Sir.” Louis recognized one of his security guards waiting for him in the airport and he let him take his luggage. “Where were you?” Louis chuckled, relieved, as a few others pushed away about twenty girls trying to tough Louis. “We got your text late. Sorry for not being able to teleport to the airport on such short notice.” He responded sarcastically. “Right, sorry ‘bout that.” Louis said, giving a smile. “I just decided really late.” The guards led him through the loud Italian yelling crowds. They got outside where a huge, shiny black SUV was waiting. “Wow, very incognito.” Louis chuckled as he got in. “I was wanting us not to look like millionaires pulling into an already famous concert.” The older security guard looked like he wanted to pull a Louis and flip him off but he didn't and instead took the wheel and drove off, a few girls running after them. “I'm surprised they are so excited to see me when they are here for his concert.” Louis just then noticed a younger and new guard. “Well, Mr. Tomlinson is nearly as famous so the people here will try anything to get to him just like they are doing the same to Mr.Styles” The older guard said, Louis just remembered his last name was Wilson. “Oh. I guess that makes sense.” The new guard said. “Also do we have to call everyone ‘sir’ or ‘mister’?” “Only the people you respect or work for.” Wilson answered, turning a sharp left. The new one nodded in thought but relaxed, satisfied with the answer. Louis dozed off after the car quieted. The car pulled into a very nice Italian hotel and Louis stepped out, glady in about a month's worth of fresh air. The place was packed so Louis stayed very close to Wilson and the others. They got inside and checked in. Louis was led through a luxurious looking hall and dining room up some stairs and into his room. His jaw dropped in astonishment. The walls were white and the ceiling was too, it was so open. There was a kitchen to his left that had white tile backsplash and plenty of room. Straight forward was the living room with stylish brightly colored furniture and a wide TV. To the left of the living room was a door into a wide open tiled bathroom with a huge shower and bathtub. To the right of the living room was the bedroom and Louis felt like he wanted to jump on the huge soft bed like he did when he was a little kid. There was a nice wooden balcony straight outside from the bedroom and Louis opened the sliding door and stood outside for a bit. When he went back inside the guards were just waiting for him. “How the ‘ell did you get this room? This isn't a HOTEL, this is a freaking BEACH HOUSE in ITALY.” Wilson let out a deep throaty laugh.“I assume you like it then.” He asked amusingly. Louis nodded. “Well we must be getting to the stadium very soon. Are you ready?” Louis thought for a moment. Was he? This was going to be the first time he sees him in a long time.Things aren’t bad between them, it's just been nearly a year. They had only seen each other through facetime and a few pictures. They only heard each other through a phone that cracked and distorted their voices. Louis felt a tear and he wiped it away, blinking his eyes rapidly. “I hope so.” Wilson nodded, and Louis saw the compassion in his eyes. He led him out of the hotel and back into the car. Louis felt like he held his breath all the way to the stadium and he might have if Wilson hadn’t reminded him that air is necessary to live. When they pulled up in the stadium not as many cars were there because they got there early, otherwise they would have been swarmed by at least five people from each city in the world, and the surprise would be ruined. Louis put on a cheap looking coat, flattened his hair, pulled the hood up, and followed the guards in. Louis showed his ticket in and the ticket checker pointed them to their box. Louis was relieved after he entered the VIP box, it was empty because he had rented it for himself, it wasn’t selfish, it was part of the plan. *** The stadium was packed now. Louis could have sworn every seat was taken. The lights were being turned off and Louis felt the bass of the first song tickle his whole body. The countdown started and Louis couldn’t breathe again. Fookin’ lungs. The crowd screamed as the seconds ticked down 1o! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1!.......................BOOM! Harry Styles ran out of the billows of steam that had been shot out. Louis whooped with everyone else and felt his eyes well up with tears. Why was he getting so emotional? Harry was wearing black skinny jeans with a gold tasseled sleeveless jacket and no shirt, showing off his tattoos with pride. Louis wanted to run onto stage or scream “IT’S ME! I’M HERE!” But he wasn’t going to. He had to wait. *** “Well everyone. This is my last song for this tour. I need you all to sing it with me.” HArry looked up to the ceiling and closed his eyes as “Sign of the times” started. Just stop your crying, it's a sign of the times. Louis sang along, Harry and him had sung this through the phone so many times. Welcome to the final show. I hope your wearin’ your best clothes. The crowd sang it out with hoarse voices. You can’t bribe the door on your way to the sky. You look pretty good down here. But you ain’t really good. We never learned we’ve been here before! Why are we always stuck and running from; the bullets, The bullets! Louis sang out, looking straight at Harry. Harry got to the last verse and was in tears as he sang it. We got to, we got to.. Away. The crowd screamed and cried as Harry finished in only a whisper. Harry kissed the heart that was tattooed on his arm and.. Wait. Louis replayed what he had just seen. Harry really just kissed the heart Louis gave him so many years ago. He was only 18 when he drew that on his arm, and nearly two years later he had asked Louis if he could get it as a tattoo. The crowd screamed their approval and Harry spoke one last time before he left the stage. “Goodbye for now.” *** Louis pased back and forth in the Box. He didn’t know where Harry was but the crowd left immediately, after taking pictures with each other, probably trying to get to their car and not get stuck in traffic for five hours straight. The security guards of the stadium had talked to Louis’ and let him get downstairs and into the back. So much was happening behind the stage and Louis’ heart was beating way too fast for him to focus on anything. Louis paused a second as he saw a head of curly hair. It turned out to be a staff worker. Louis asked her if she knew where he was. “Oh your Lou? Ye’ he in th’ back.” She said in a yorker accent. Louis thanked her and walked towards the dressing room where she had pointed. Louis nodded to a thickly dressed woman coming out and put his finger over his lips for her to be quiet, she smirked and walked away. Louis took a deep breath before opening the door. There he was, Harry Styles. “Thanks Pepper but I’m really okay.” Harry was looking towards the wall with his elbows on his knees. Louis stepped inside and closed the door. Harry sighed, probably thinking that this Pepper had left, and took off his gold tasseled shirt. Louis saw the “Hi” on his arm and grinned. Harry really had no idea his boyfriend was right behind him. “Hey Hazza.” Louis only whispered it, but he saw Harry’s skin fill with goose bumps before he spun around. Louis held their eye contact. The world had frozen then zoomed in on only them. They were the only people in the world now. Louis bit his lip to keep from crying. Harry ran into his arms and spun him around. “LOUIS!” Harry set him down and Louis put his arms around his neck and looked into his eyes with a huge smile. Harry’s face was shining with tears that had long needed to be cried. Louis wiped a few away, only for them to be replaced. “Louis.” Harry said it again, like he needed to know and convince himself that it really was Louis. “Harr-” Harry pressed his lips to Louis’ before he could finish. Louis grinned and kissed him back. Harry had a firm yet gentle grip on his waist, and Louis’ hands were in his hair. “I missed you so much.” Harry was crying into Louis’ shoulder and Louis started crying. “You were gone for so long.” Louis shuddered out a breath and kissed him again. “Too long my love.” #larrystylinson#1D
