So she decided to ask this Mika. “Hey, um, don’t I know you? I mean- uh- well-” Uchiyama tried to ask. “Uh, yeah? You’re that pen pal I had from Tokyo. Not like I forgot your name or something.” Mika replied. “Oh, well… that’s good… so you go to Hokkaido in the summer only?” “Kinda… I was born there and moved here when I was 4. I go in the summer to visit relatives. But now since we found out, we have a secret language to speak to each other!” Mika told her, “oh, and by the way, you don’t sit with anyone at lunch.” “Yeah…?” “So you can sit with me and my friends! They are part of my Book Club.” Mika exclaimed. “Oh, uh, it’s okay…” “Don’t be silly! They are really welcoming! Also, the book we are reading currently is White Grape Love Story. It’s a manga! We are reading book 3, but I’ll give you book 1 and book 2.” Mika pushed her baby blue glasses up, “so you can borrow them at lunch.” “Thank you Mika!” Uchiyama exclaimed. Now she actually looked forward to lunch. -ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈ “And so, Uchiyama from class is joining our book club!” Mika exclaimed as her friends smiled at her, “Uchiyama, this is Sophia, Angie, and Luna. You might know some of them.” Uchiyama realized that the girl she tapped was in this group, but she just looked at Luna. Her dark bangs covered half her eyes, and her shoulder length hair was so dark it was inchanting. “Who are you? I don’t know you.” Luna said with a hint of hate towards Uchiyama. “Oh, I’m Uchiyama Yoshie, a commuter from Tokyo, Japan.” She replied. “Ah, Luna can be tough with new people, she will eventually warm up to you.” Mika said. “Here are your books! It’s about a shy girl who meets a mysterious boy on a train. After a few encounters, she finds out he is deaf, and has a celebrity sister, which makes it hard for him to find real friends. It’s really good.” “Wow, thanks!” Uchiyama replies. “No problem.” Angie interrupted the conversation and said, “Uchiyama, you did the Heads-Up Seven Up game at class, so who tapped me?” “It was me!” Uchiyama giggled. They chatted for a bit, and Uchiyama warmed up to them. But Luna… that’s a different story. Copyright©️ on Scratch 2024
