She was forced to beg and/or scavenge for food herself for three long years. However, when Hokuto was eight, she got adopted by a kind old man. He eventually sent her to school and treated her as his own. However, when Hokuto was around twelve, she came back to a notice saying that her “father” has been accused for murder, and is going to be executed later that day. Hokuto knew that her father would never do such a thing, so she ran as fast as she could to bail him out, but it was too late. As she sat there, crying over her dead father, she made a vow to herself and him. She wouldn’t ever let anybody get falsely accused and die this terrible fate. Now, with no one in the world that seemed to care about her, she decided life wasn’t worth living, and almost jumped off a bridge into liyue harbor until she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see a girl about her age, with raven black hair and a mask on her head. Her name had been Corbeau (NOT MY OC). Corbeau comforted Hokuto, and eventually they became friends. Corbeau taught Hokuto how to fight, and Hokuto (tried) to teach Corbeau how to read. Eventually however, Corbeau needed to set off back to Fontaine, so the two of them set off. Early on in their journey however, they stumbled across abyss mage. The two bravely fought them off, even earning Hokuto her vision. Later in their journey however, Hokuto fell into the water and almost drowned, but corbeau saved her. Hokuto dropped corbeau off at Fontaine, and walked all the way back to liyue. Remembering her vow, she studied and studied, working at bars, and even, one summer, at wanmin restraunt just to pay her student bills. (Fast foreword like a long time bc i cant bother to type out 10 years of one’s life) shes a full time judge now IDK ITS ALL I COULD COME UP WITH LOL
