Scratch butchered the quality ? uh anyway yippee!! i decided to study canine anatomy just for this so.. yep ? anyway, scroll down for backstory& some background info! Design name: 웨이트 (Weiteu, Wavette) Personality: Weiteu is an outgoing canine who is tender and motherly to friends, younger dogs and siblings. She's like the mom of the friend group (or anything group), if you know what i mean. She gets easily startled, though. Other info: Weiteu and her family are ruled by a council driven by knowledge. The council resides in a stronghold palace, surrounded by villages, markets and lakes. Weiteu and her family live in a village far east of the stronghold, called Aqua. Aqua is one of the few villages that live near and on lakes. Weiteu's family has a den off the lake. Her father fears the fallen tree platform will rot and fall into the lake, taking the other dogs, dens and merchants with them. The village of Aqua is bordered by two other villages, Lynx and Creaking Stones. Each village's inhabitants has unusual characteristics. The dogs of Aqua all have flowy tails much like Weiteu's. Some add charms of different shapes to their tails, one of the recent fashion trends going around. Anyway, the council LOVES knowledge and learning. Any scientist, librarian and philosopher is greatly honored and hand-picked from the brightest students. Backstory!: (Five years before the art in the project) Weiteu always admired the ripples in puddles and in her tail when it was stepped on or disturbed. She always asked about the ripples. Why were they rippley? Why did they flow outward instead of inward or any other way? One day, sprawling around in her family's den, her father came home from his busy work. Her father worked in a lower office in the stronghold palace, so he always had interesting stories and news. Weiteu bounced up, excited for any stories that her father might have overheard. He looked especially excited, so it must be a good one! "What is it, Dad? What've you got today?" Weiteu spun circles around her father, excitement bubbling in her tail. (their tails ripple and reflect their feelings, they also ripple when something is very loud or something disturbs them) "Calm down, calm down sweetie!" Her father laughed, trying to catch Weiteu as she danced around him. Eventually he caught her and they both sat down on one of the squirrel-pelt pads, giggling like gossiping school-girls. "Guess what?" Her father said, grinning ear to ear. "What?" Weiteu asked. Her father's grin must be contagious because she started grinning as well. "You're going to be a scientist for the palace! Remember how you were asking about the ripples? Well you're going to study.. sound-waves! You're going to be a acoustican!" (expert in the science of sound) Weiteu's cyan eyes widened. "YIPPEE!! I'll tell the other pups!" She dashed out of the den, poking her head into her friend's dens and calling them out. Weiteu's father sighed contently, leaning into his wife's warmth. Weiteu's younger sibling, Dal (moon in korean), came out of the nursery, rubbing his eyes. "Whas Weiteu dooooing?" He asked in his little pup voice. "She's telling her friends that she works for the palace now, she's going to be an acoustican, your sister!" Her father hugged Dal tightly, sitting down with the rest of the family. Smiling together, looking out at Weiteu and her friends dancing in celebration. Six years later, time when the art in the project takes place: Weiteu faced her family from the mouth of their den. She was finally licensed by the stronghold palace to journey past the villages to study different sound-waves and their effects. "I'll see you soon, guys." She assured her family before during to her teary-eyes younger brother Dal. "I'll be back before you know it, buddy. Be good to Mom and Dad while I'm gone okay? You can have Fluffers as a gift from me." Weiteu reached into her satchel and pulled out her stuffed animal rabbit, giving it to Dal. She began to start her trek, her family and other villagers shouting goodbyes and bestowing goodwishes upon her. Dal hugged Fluffers close to his chest, waving a small paw in the air in goodbye. . . . Weiteu dragged her paws through the snow, her head held high and her scarf billowed around her. She didn't see the hamster below her paws until it was too late. Weiteu fell forward, stuffing her face with snow while the hamster struggled out from under her, limping. "Oh no! I'm so sorry!" She yelped, gathering the poor creature in her paws. The hamster squeaked, pointing and jabbing at her angrily before sitting down in her paws with a small thump. "Awww, I'll name you... Snowberry! Snowberry the hamster!." She placed Snowberry gently in her satchel. (continued in notes!)
The two journeyed together over the course of six months, or moon as the villages call it. They emerged at the edge of their arctic woodland, coming to a ice cliff that fell away to the sea. A waterfall was nearby, making loud gushing noises that caused Weiteu's tail to vibrate and ripple, Snowberry covered his small ears and retreated into her satchel. On their journey, Weiteu had attached a piece of equipment to her satchel and sewed a replica of Snowberry made out of white rabbit fur. Weiteu's eyes gleamed, knowing this was the perfect place to set up camp and start studying. She had a small model of sound-waves, a type of glasses used to see the waves with advanced tech and a small case with a projector for modeling the effects of sound-waves. Weiteu made a small den made out of stones from the woodland and densely packed snow. She's been conducting experiments and sending her findings back to the stronghold palace. She visits her family and friends occasionally, and sometimes tours other villages. She and Snowberry have become best friends, even though they don't have a efficient way of communication. She still studies the waterfall and the cliff erosion to this day. So yay! Thats it for now, I'll be adding to this later and might be making other entries to go along with this one!
