I was the most beautiful and powerful dragon in the land. I had scales of silver and gold, eyes of emerald and ruby, and a roar that could shake the mountains. I was admired and feared by all, and I loved it. I thought I was better than everyone else, and I looked down on the other creatures of the forest. One day, I decided to fly over the woods and show off my magnificence. I soared high in the sky, breathing fire and smoke, and laughing at the tiny animals below. I did not care about their feelings or their lives. I only cared about myself. But then, something unexpected happened. A bright flash of lightning streaked across the sky, and a loud thunder boomed in the air. I felt a surge of curiosity and excitement, and I flew towards the lightning. I wanted to see what it was, and maybe even play with it. But as I got closer, I realized that it was not a toy, but a force of nature. It struck me with its power, and I felt a shock of pain and fear. I tried to escape, but it was too fast and too strong. It hit me again and again, and I felt my scales and wings burning. I lost my control, and I could not fly anymore. I fell to the ground with a loud thud. I was stunned and hurt, and I could not move. I was trapped in the woods, struck by lightning. I hoped that someone would come and rescue me, but no one did. The animals that I had tormented and mocked ignored me, or worse, laughed at me. They called me names like "ugly", "stupid", and "weak". They threw stones and sticks at me, and bit and scratched me. They made me feel small and worthless. I realized then how wrong I had been. I had been cruel and arrogant, and I had made many enemies. I had no friends, no allies, no one who cared about me. I was alone, and I deserved it. I cried and begged for mercy, but no one listened. I was ready to give up and die, when I heard a soft voice. "Are you okay?" it asked. I looked up and saw a young female deer standing over me. She had fur of brown and white, eyes of hazel and chocolate, and a nose that twitched. She was not as big or as flashy as me, but she was cute and gentle. She had heard my cries and came to help me. She nudged me with her nose, and licked my wounds. She gave me some berries and nuts, and shared her water. She comforted me with her words, and cuddled me with her body. She made me feel safe and happy. She did not judge me for my past, or hate me for my faults. She accepted me for who I was, and showed me compassion and respect. She taught me about the beauty and value of the forest, and the importance of harmony and balance. She showed me how to be humble and grateful, and how to love and be loved. She was my savior, my teacher, my friend, and my companion. She was everything I needed, and everything I wanted. She was my partner, and I was hers. We lived happily in the woods, away from the troubles of the world. We had each other, and that was enough. We were happy, and we were friends.
