WARNING! Mentions of an abusive relationship! To stop songs, press space. To play songs, press... 1- Hot N Cold by Katy Perry (Clean version) 2- Toxic by Britney Spears 3- Something In The Way You Move by Ellie Goulding 4- Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis 5- The Heart Wants What It Wants by Selena Gomez 6- Cherry Wine by Hozier 7- We Are Never Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift 8- Love Yourself by Justin Bieber 9- I Hate Myself For Loving You by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts 0- Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus If you can't tell by the name of this project or by the songs, Ivory (when she was a teen) and Leevii (her boyfriend back then) had a very toxic/abusive relationship. Also, Leevii, if you can't tell, has two forms. He can randomly shapeshift between his Greed Ring loan shark form and his Envy Ring fish demon form, because he is half loan shark demon from the Greed Ring, half fish demon from the Envy Ring. In his Greed Ring form, ironically, he's mostly a huggable and lovable dude who loves to be chill and relax and be a rebellious teen. In his Envy Ring form, however, he is a lot more violent and aggressive and possessive. Ivory started dating him as an act of rebellion since she wanted to be a rebellious teen like him. Charlie didn't want her to date him, fearing that their relationship will just end with Ivory's heart getting broken. Little did she know it would end with much more than a heartbreak. If you can't tell by the picture, Leevii often abused Ivory, and he also sometimes r-worded her (I'm saying it like that to avoid getting banned or something like that). She had no idea what to do, and she had to mentally prepare herself every time she was around him in case his more aggressive side came out and wanted to hurt her. Reasons why I picked the songs: 1- Hot N Cold by Katy Perry (one of my fav artists!)- In this song, Katy Perry compares her relationship with the mystery boy as confusing, and this is a form of emotional manipulation, and when going through this form of manipulation, victims tend to hang around until they are pretty sure about how the abuser feels. I also imagine that because of Leevii's shapeshifting powers that he has a personality disorder and/or Bipolar I or II. 2- Toxic by Britney Spears- It's in the name. 3- Something In The Way You Move by Ellie Goulding-The song tells the story of a woman in a toxic relationship with a bad boy who cannot leave because she’s in love with him, similar to what was going on between Ivory and Leevii. 4- Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis- She sings about being in a relationship with someone who abuses her despite her friend’s warning, just like how Charlie warns Ivory about being in a relationship with Leevii. 5- The Heart Wants What it Wants by Selena Gomez- In this song, Selena yearns for a lover that doesn’t care about her enough to come back home at night or call her. She knows a million reasons to give up the relationship, but her love for him overpowers those reasons, and she remains in the relationship. 6- Cherry Wine by Hozier (he created "Take Me to Church, which is one of my favs!)- “Cherry Wine” is a song about abusive relationships that details the experience of a victim lovingly because of his attachment to the abuser. This song’s poetic lyrics and Hozier’s soft voice made this song feel like a love song until you study the lyrics closely. 7- We Are Never Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift- pretty self-explanatory. 8- Love Yourself by Justin Bieber- the line "My momma don't like you and she likes everyone" is pretty accurate info about Charlie and how she feels about Leevii. 9- I Hate Myself for Loving You by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts- the name is self-explanatory. 10- Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus (one of my fav songs of all time!)- As Miley describes in the song, the only wrong thing she did was break his heart, but he retaliated by wrecking her. You have no idea how much I wanted to put "Church Bells" by Carrie Underwood (one of my fav artists) and "Stitches" by Shawn Mendes (one of my fav songs) on this playlist (╥﹏╥)
OCs: Ivory (as a teenager), and Leevii I made the art in a digital art thing called Kleki. Credits to Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Ellie Goulding, Leona Lewis, Selena Gomez, Hozier, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and Miley Cyrus for these amazing songs.
