But when he DOES find someone he's in love with? Yang-Jin's methods of getting them to be his is honestly pretty messed up. He also has heart shaped lips, and he just genuinely looks like he has a cold personality as well. Backstory: Lee Yang-Jin was born in 1842 in the Choseon Dynasty in Korea. He was a prince, and honestly? A spoiled one too. He grew up, basically worshipped by the townspeople. But he was missing onee thing - a person to love. But then, he met a courtesan named Ae-Ra. He fell in love with her, with her stubbornness and attitude. But they couldn't fall in love exactly. He was a prince, and Ae-Ra was a courtesan. But they did. Yang-Jin told Ae-Ra that he loved her, and Ae-Ra said it right back. But there was still the blatant rank gap. But Yang-Jin told Ae-Ra about Christianity- a religon from the West. And he said that everyone was equal, meaning that Ae-Ra and Yang-Jin could be together. He gave her a golden cross necklace as a present. But in 1866, when Yang-Jin was 24, things took a dark turn. The Catholic Persecution of 1866 happened. Ae-Ra was one of the first people to be caught in the town. They used her as a martyr, saying she was the only Catholic. After all, Ae-Ra was the only one with a cross necklace. They thought she stole it, but Ae-Ra refused to betray Yang-Jin. The soldiers executed Ae-Ra. With her eyes, she pleaded Yang-Jin to save himself. Her last words were of her telling Yang-Jin that she loved him. After Ae-Ra was executed, Yang-Jin fell into a deep depression. He wandered outside of the borders, where a vampire saw him.... and turned him. With his bloodlust and the anger about what happened to Ae-Ra, he killed his entire village. Yes, it was a relatively small village, but he still killed them. Including his own father. That unlocked the insanity in him. He kept faking his death and relocating, but then came along 1910. The Japanese annexed Korea, and the Koreans were going through very brutal treatment. Their freedoms were stripped. Yang-Jin was one of the protestors who protested against the Japanese rule. He met another vampire, Sang Baek-Hyun. Yang-Jin fell in love with him, and Baek-Hyun did the same. In fact, for that time, Baek-Hyun was the light in the darkness, the one that helped him pick up the pieces of Ae-Ra's death. The one, even in the midst of a horrible, brutal time, that helped him. But when the Japanese took Baek-Hyun away to Unit 731 and killed him, Yang-Jin faked his death and went to America for a new start. It was 1938. Two years later, Yang-Jin was drafted into World War 2. His squad called him "the devil" behind his back. When he got sh0t, he simply pulled the bullet out and kept going. He was.... terrifying, to the others. But he fell in love again- to a human named Nicholas Snow. But Nicholas would die at the hands of a German bullet. Yang-Jin, enraged, killed the troops with his supernatural abilities. The other supernaturals in America were forced to clean up after Yang-Jin's mess, and after what happened with Ae-Ra, Baek-Hyun, and Nicholas, Yang-Jin was just insane at this point. He was talking in broken strings of Korean and English when the vampires detained him, and kept him locked up until 1960, when they considred him "safe" to go back to society. But he wasn't. He decided to go to Hong Kong, this time. Yang-Jin flirted with every guy he saw, and sometimes girls. He manipulated the innocent humans, and then lured them to his bed... before draining them near dry. But of course, fell in love.... again. To a woman named Zhao Chaoxing But this time, he stalked Chaoxing, breaking into her apartment at night.... things like that. But in 1997, he decided to fake his death again and go back to America, where he found the gang called the Royal Knives. He joined the gang, and kept climbing his way up the ranks, until he became an advisor.
