“I…don’t understand.” Lila paced around the room her eyes ever wavering. “You will master the butterfly and the peacock miraculous! Then you will become the most powerful holder ever to exist.” The man, Gabriel, watched Lila as her eyes flickered from purple to blue. “What… if Ladybug was right? What if too many of the miraculous will kill me? What if the peacock really is broken?” She stopped pacing and looked up at Gabriel, searching his face for lies. He remained composed. “Lila, despite what ladybug said you are not a wilted flower- bah! Who even heard of lucky charms being able to see brokenness?” He came closer and put his hand on her shoulder. “You are not broken. Not anymore. I pulled you up out of your pit that those heroes dug, I gave you these miraculous.” He sighed. “So, I expect full cooperation, Lila Rossi.” He took his hands off her shoulders and stared her down. Then he smiled. “Get some rest. Tomorrow we start the cloning.” He walked away, his footsteps echoing until the wirring of the elevator began. Lila sank to the floor, taking out the two pendants. The butterfly and the peacock. She stared at them. In the past she had wanted nothing more than this, she wanted the power and the will of others. But in past she would have never let Gabriel talk to her this way like…. Like …No. She had been manipulated this time she had let him feed off her strength! She felt it now as she truly felt like a wilted flower. Someone whose petals had been mercilessly picked…. someone whose petals had just fallen from the plant, giving up on life and leaving their precious root to die.
