As they stepped through the gate and into the Glow-Village, King Crimson shouted, “Please calm down and step forward if you think you saw anything suspicious last night.” “We will find the Glow-Flower,” he added as the Glow-People started murmuring discontentedly. Very nervously, one of the Glow-Gardeners stepped away from the crowd and stood trembling in front of King Crimson. “I saw a huge, dark dragon land beside the Glow-Flower late last night,” he said. “That sounds like Dark!” exclaimed Queen Cyan. “I’m not too surprised,” said King Crimson, “I’ve known he’s been malicious for a while now. Ever since he challenged Lava to a duel, then tried to drown him by throwing him in the water afterwards. Aqua had to pull him out, and he almost died.” Tears fell from his eyes as he remembered that horrible day. “Where did he go?” King Crimson asked the Glow-Gardener. “I don’t know,” the Glow-Gardener replied, “He dropped something behind him that knocked out everyone in the Glow-Village.” “No wonder everyone was panicking when we got here,” remarked Aqua. “You’re right,” King Crimson agreed. “Emerald and Sky, please guard Dark’s cave while we finish looking around here. If you see something suspicious, one should stay on guard while the other investigates,” he instructed. “We’ll join you soon.” As they hastily flew away, King Crimson turned and addressed the Glow-People, “Thank you for your help. We hope to be back very soon with the Glow-Flower. You may return to your duties now.” The Glow-People went back to doing their jobs, and Aqua and her parents strolled out of the gate to where Lava was sitting with the guards. Smoke had woken up while they had been talking to the Glow-People and was talking to Fire and Lava. “Let’s get going!” ordered King Crimson.
