This is a "marble" multiplexer, based on YouTuber Martin Miranda's design for a multiplexer marble clock! Try to make this display show each number and some symbols! Hold 1, 2, 3, 4, and/or 5 to select which spots become orange, then press j, k and/or l to select which column that is applied to. (The numbers that are not held down tell those rows to become purple.) Press e to empty the board; you don't need to do this but it can help to figure it out.
If you think you are pressing the right buttons but it isn't working, maybe you can't hold down that many keys at once on your keyboard... I ran into that problem when trying to make k and l entirely orange. Let me know which combinations don't work for you!
