Watch how to go into houses! https://youtu.be/54zbNmSAFlY Also watch the y-sort Tutorial! https://youtu.be/DxjC0VKbJWM Check out my Scratch RPG with a different tileset https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/986805759 Added auto layer feature: press 'L' to toggle on and off drawing and deleting automatically *NEW-NEW* can enter houses! Use '4' when editing pins to enable overworld-to-house and house-to-overworld scene toggle when touching a tile with a type-4 collision pin. Need a tile with a type-4 collision pin in both house and overworld scenes to make it work. *NEW* y-sort feature: enable player to walk in front and behind the same tile. To use this feature place the same tile on both layer 2 and layer 3 and add "*" to the tile costume name. *Added a choose layer drop-down box and a titlescreen. I remade the starter area from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past by Nintendo Thanks to @PixelProgrammer05 and @m6audereo: Place bridges on Layer 3 and connecting pieces on Layer 1 or 2. I combined these two ideas to maintain the integrity of the stamp only engine. - WSAD or Arrow keys to move (when mouse pointer is in the level area) and scroll palette (when mouse pointer is in the palette area) - 'R' add tile text - add some text to any tile in edit mode then view it by pressing 'R' during play mode - '0' toggles the editor - pressing '0' again will save the scene (careful no undo!) and close editor mode - 'E' hold and click the play area in edit mode to pick an existing tile - Spacebar hold+mouse drag to trace connected tiles from the palette - 1, 2 or 3 key to switch layers respectively, press key a second time to toggle onion mode. Alternatively, select the layer from the drop down box. Selecting the same layer will toggle onion mode. - 'P' to toggle palette meta editor (must be in edit mode) - '1' sets a collision pin, 'X' clears it. - '2' sets collision override (ignores collision on other layers, good for ladders) - '3' sets bridge trigger to detect collision on layer 3 and ignore it when under it. Allows the player to be drawn on top or below the bridge. Again special credit here to and for figuring out this very elegant/simple solution. - Select a tile from the palette and simply click the play area to place it. The palette meta editor (collision pins) must be turned off (with 'P') to switch layers while the mouse is hovering the palette. - To quickly delete a tile press 'F' to set the cursor to blank and click over top of the tile to be deleted.
