Katherine Johnson was born on August 26th, 1918 in White Sulpher Springs. She was the youngest child pf 4 kids, her parents were Joylette Roberta and Joshua McKinley Coleman. While she was in school she was very good at math, she even skipped grades! But, her school did not allow schooling past 8th grade, so her parents decided to make her attend high school in Institute, Virginia. She attended high school at age 10! She went to university at WVSU at age 15. Then she started teaching, then she quit teaching and took other jobs. Afterwards she worked as a "computer" at NACA which eventually became NASA. She worked on many projects. She died in 2020 at age 101.
