I have high doubts any members of Scratch Team are to ever see this, but consiering the @CreepWasFound Scratch Account of mine that has recently been banned falsely for a joking matter, I really think you need to work a little more on your moderation. I am fully aware that Scratch is non-profit and it may be difficult to actually get people to run Scratch's moderation, and it's probably a lot easier on you to have systems that help assist, but can we start actually looking into the context of why people were banned? Cause nobody enjoys being banned for something that was clearly seen as a joke from both sides. The duration of the ban is not a problem to me, but the ban itself in the first place is genuinely disappointing. Are we seriously going to go back to this cycle of banning people who have not violated any guidelines? I was supposedly banned with the reasoning that I was being disrespectful. While I'll admit, perhaps it was not the most intelligent decision to call someone "idiot", or maybe it wasn't smart to say that "I don't like purple people" or what ever other reasons my ban may be for, the context of these words was a friendly joking environment. I'm not going to ask to be unbanned. But I'm going to ask that your team quits on taking people down without actually bothering to look into the context. Both sides of my conversation with the user that I was conversing with were completely satire. I've looked through the guidelines, what I'd done did not violate them. So I'm very disappointed that your team had ultimately decided to ban anyway. I mean this in the most respectful way possible, your moderation really needs improvement. It's still very faulty. If any Scratch Team members actually happened to read this, at any point, thank you for stopping by.
Another thing I do believe needs to be changed, is access to projects during ban. Even if someone is banned, they should still be able to at least go to their projects and download them to be able to work on them separately from the account, like using the offline app. I don't want to get permabanned one day and lose access to the things I've spent months on.
