tw: yap session ai animation can be a serious problem not only for the artist/animation community, but for everyone else as well. we need to put rules and laws against what people can and cannot do with ai. ai can now animate and create realistic animations and photos by stealing artist's artwork. they use that for training data. they also take photos and videos of real life people in order to make realistic portraits and videos. this technology can be dangerous, and needs regulations. you can now simply type a prompt and make art in a famous person's art style instead of actually comissioning that person to draw what you want with ai technology. when open ai sora releases, or when any ai video generator upgrades enough, you could also make realistic animations of a person doing what you say for it to do. since some sites can put a person's face on someone else's body already, this can lead to people making videos of people doing things that they've never done, or saying things that they've never said with a voice changer. people can use this to make false accusations that can end people's careers. the opposite can also happen. someone can have video evidence of a person doing something that they are not supposed to, and it can be disregarded as ai. this is why we need rules for what we can create. some rules can include not being able to generate anything that is not legal, or anything that makes a real person do innapropriate things. the ai can most likely recognize what is and isn't appropriate, so it should not be too difficult to restrict the generation of such things. I worry for the security of artists and animators, but most importantly the safety of humanity as a whole. with regulations, we can help to make ai a simple tool instead of a weapon. yap session over.
