No one can deny the aes comm is absolutely obsessed with East Asians. ☠️ Anywhere you look on the aes comm, it's all kpop and random "ulzzang" Asian girls. In bios, people use hello in other East Asians languages and a lot of non-Asian (especially non poc period) people use Asian (especially korean) names. I get liking K-pop. I like K-pop. My pfp is literally Yuqi. K-pop *can* be an aesthetic. But Korean can't. J-pop can be SO MANY PEOPLE SAY THAT KOREAN IS THEIR AESTHETIC. Obviously, this is harmful to other countries, especially non-East Asian ones. It underrepresents them, making it seem like they don't matter. Asia is made of 48 countries. Each one is special, and deserve to be represented <3 But the effect on East Asians is just as dire. This is a problem that needs to be addressed. ASAP. It's not just your mindset. Your ideas have consequences. Using east asian culture and language for "aesthetic purposes" actually leads to racism, fetishization of asians, and the "model minority" stereotype. All of these lead to Asian hate, and as we have seen, this eventually, and unfortunately, leads to attacks on asians. It's not only a mindset, it has actual real life consequences. Asians have been suppressed, discriminated against for years. You can't decide one day that Asians are a trend. Guys. This project is about Asian people and fetishizing them. It is about other countries, but this project isn't. TT
