The Ancients had started believing they were superior to Cosmatic, though they knew he wouldn't be taken down easily. Thus they created The Terraidols, harnessing the power of the creatures then only found on the other islands. Then, fusing them together, they created The Terraidol of Unity, an artifact that could kill a god using the bond between those wielding it. But they knew their time was running out and they wouldnt have the chance to use it, and so they split the totem and hid the machine to fuse them back together inside The Shrine of Cosmatic. They created Totem Keys to lock the Shrine and hid them under their cities, making them match to what the cities would become in the far future so that their successors would be able to access the Terraidol of Unity. After their fall Cosmatic, sensing their immense power, hid the 3 Terraidols on their respective islands. The monsters there made them the centerpiece of their home and guard it from anyone who tries to take it to this day.
