On the day this project is shared, this account will be turning 8. This project has two purposes: The project part on the left will be a celebratory look back at the projects of this account over the years. On the description side here I want to give my thoughts on the current and future state of things. ___________________________________________ Hi. I first joined Scratch in January of 2015 during a class at school when I was in sixth grade. Up until that point I hadn't ever really had much exposure to the internet, and Scratch gave me friends and something to do while I struggled with feelings of isolation in my personal life. But I kept growing up, and in high school I got involved with more things at school, I got a job, I found friends, and then suddenly I didn't have as much time for my computer. By the time I was in college, my activity here had really slowed down. Somehow, I just turned 21 a month ago. In a way, I don't really have much reason to stick around aside from occasionally scratching the creative itch with projects. I do miss being involved on the forums and in studios and just being active in general, but I don't think I could really return to that. Part of me is a little sad because I have great memories, but in reality I've kinda already been gone for years. So this project is to officially acknowledge that, at least to myself. It's not quitting Scratch forever yet, but I am moving on to the next stage. Going forward I will continue to share projects occasionally since I still really do enjoy working on them when I find the time. I will also probably still respond to most messages, although it might not be quickly. Thank you to everyone still leaving comments even though I've become older and inactive. I do appreciate still having messages to look through when I log in. I am very grateful for the time I have had on Scratch and looking back makes me very happy. ___________________________________________ And I think that's probably all I wanted to say. I'll be sharing something again in three weeks or so, so definitely be sure to look forward to that for sure ;)
