The fernbug is a filter-feeding invertebrate that inhabits the oceans of Uorhues. The fernbugs head is covered by a big system of eyes among other organs which detect the water current as well as the abundance of various things such as light and microorganisms. The fernbug starts its life as a small larvae where its goal is to find a great spot abundant in the small lifeforms that it feeds on, where it will grow to the unholy abomination that is the full grown fernbug. The fernbug posseses a almost feather-like structure on its back, which absorbs microorganisms and filters debris and consumable material. The fernbugs legs are designed to hold on to the rocky surfaces to avoid the tides of the sea. The fernbug when confronted with harsh conditions will roll up in a ball and absorb oxygen in hopes of letting the currents carry it to a more safe and properous place. The fernbugs size varies, but it is usually not bigger than 30 centimeters (1 foot), allthough most ferbugs are only a few centimeters in size.
