Chapter 3 - Welcome to Hogwarts As soon as we get all my stationery for school, We head off to Kings Cross. I successfully pile all of my luggage onto one cart, and I look around, trying to find platform nine-and-three-quarters. I can't find it, so I look at Andrea in confusion. She smiles at me and says, "What are you waiting for? It's straight ahead!" Puzzled, I look straight ahead and see platforms nine and ten, but no platform nine-and-three-quarters. "But... It's just a wall!" I say. "Well of COURSE it's just a wall, otherwise every Muggle that come here might accidentally take the train!" She replies, as if everything in the world made sense. I take a deep breath and walk through the wall. I hear the "Shweeet!" Of a train whistle, and lots of other students rushing to get on the train. As soon as Andrea follows me in, She gives me a nudge toward the train, and I give her a weak smile (That looks more like a grimace) and clamber on. I struggle to find a compartment, and I get to the fifth carriage before finding one that isn't full. Sitting inside is a girl with brown eyes and brown hair, which is changing from brown to red to ginger, then back to brown again. I bite my lip and open the door. "Um, can I sit here?" I ask nervously. She nods, and her hair turns slightly yellow at the tips. With a smile I close the door and put my luggage in the overhead compartment, and while doing so, having a peek at the girl's case. It says, in fancy swirly gold writing, 'Dawn E. Lupin.' I get myself settled as the trolley lady rolls past. "Anything from the trolley, dears?" she asks, pushing open the door. I see Dawn looking at the sugar quills, and I think for a moment before saying, "Two sugar quills please." While handing the trolley lady two sickles. With a sweet smile, she hands them to me, and rolls to the next compartment. I hand one to Dawn, and she says, "Oh! Thanks!" With a grin. I unwrap it and take a lick. It was one of the most delicious things I had ever tasted. It tasted like candyfloss, but also slightly like sherbet and caramel. I silently thank Dawn, and devour mine on the rest of the journey to Hogwarts.
